Most of the time it is 1.5 hrs. 45mins to work and the having to walk the floor to ensure production is running good.

If I cannot post within 1 hour I will not update station unless I verify my sighting is different than an out-dated post.

Normally I check the prices on my way into work and then post them as soon as I boot my computer up.

I'd get more posted if the mobile site worked better.
One example - why does the mobile site always log me out after a short while? Why can't it just keep me logged in???
The "favorites" is a great idea, but there seems to be no other way to use the Master Station List on the mobile site... why not a search function? Google maps? Could even be a series of ever-more-zoomed-in image maps...
P.S. I'm a web developer (with a day job!) and would be willing to consult, gratis.

I usually get the prices posted within an hour, when I first get home from work, I get a shower and get comfortable, then I get online and enter the prices. Although if I am out shopping and get gas on the way home, I don't always get it done that quick, because I am unloading my car, and scanning purchases, etc.

Usually 1-2hrs. Could do it faster with the blackberry, but the site doesn't read my submission.

it depends. usually when I am at the gas station I will write it down and then sometimes I go home and put it on as soon as I get home and sometimes depending on what else is going on I wait.

If it is more than an hour, I use the drop down menu at the bottom to select the actual time instead of the default.

Since it takes me 45 minutes to get to work (I pass by this gas station daily) and another 1/2 hour before I can get to my computer, that would mean it's at least an 1 1/4 hours before I post the price.

The elapsed time is no more than a few seconds. I am pleased with the way GasBuddy.com runs their site. I usually am not login at peak times though~

anywhere from 15 minutes to a couple of hours - depends on what I am walking into at work - empty IN box or 16 emails, 4 phone messages & a stack of ASAP To-Do's.

Really depends on whether I'm posting the report from home or from work. Generally when I report from work it's less than 2 hours but when I report from home it's at least 4 hours before I get to the computer.

If you want a more accurate price reporting - you might consider enhancing the site to allow an optional date/time input rather than simply defaulting the submission with the time of input.

I usually see the price on the way home from work. I get off from work anytime from 11pm to 3am and, the stations are all closed so it won't change any time soon.

I post the prices as soon as possible but we live 30 minutes out of town so unfortunately it is at least an hour between spotting prices and posting them. I've put a handheld PDA with wireless internet on my "wishlist" so that I can post instantaneously! Hopefully Santa is a member of GasBuddy and understands my addiction! LOL

I don't think it makes sense to report a price later than 2 hours after it has been spotted.

I know that sometimes when I get home or to the office, I can get the prices in quickly. Other times, work or other chores get in the way and when I can get to it...I post the prices.

I post them either when I get to a computer.
If a while passes (typically eating out on the way home) I log the nearest time point to when I drive by.
Most of the time, I'm the last to have seen the numbers but then again somebody else may have seen them later.

I'm a new contributor and sometimes record prices from numerous stations on my commute then usually enter them within the hour at home or work depending on the direction of the commute. Interestingly on my "Member Favorites" input interface each station has unique fields for reg, mid, prem, diesel, and doing this mass data entry helps data entry speed. However there's only one "time spotted" field for the whole list which assumes I could simultaneously spot the prices at many different gas stations. In fact the spottings can be 10-30 minutes different or greater. So I usually estimate an average and use it for the group instead of doing multiple individual submissions. A "time spotted" field *for each station* in the Favorites group could improve timing accuracy (if that's desired) but might put more work on the user, due to more data entry. The extra work could be mitigated by a copy-down control or some other measure like pre-populating all "time spotted" fields based on the first user-selected "time spotted" value. User could then adjust the rest as needed. Food for thought.

My daily reports are within 15-20 minutes of checking the 5 In-Town Anamosa gas stations. My 1-2 time round trips each week between Anamosa and Marion IA (Springville IA is between the 2) may have a 30-40 minutes O/A time element from the time I view the prices and can log on to report. I enjoy reporting hoping it may help even just one traveler!
