gotta agree with cheapfuel- too many frivolous posts (including one in this section from lefty06)
Also far too many stupid topics (eg: count by one; who can post between 3am and 4am, etc) that are started in categories instead of "just for fun" section. I would like to see the mods be more aggressive in all topics, and perhaps provide feedback and or online warnings to individuals.

It's clear that one word posts are for points and clean up is required. I'm just too new to notice the diff.

Gotta agree with Daffyone -- the one word threads are mostly just foolishness and are designed to assist those who don't have an opinion apparently. Clean things up. I find it somewhat irritating to sift thru a plethora of threads asking, "how many bicycles, what did you have for lunch, how many cars, how many posts", say hi to, etc, etc". Miscategorized threads should be moved or in some cases deleted.

Keep it relevant - the old stuff needs to be archived and the one word posts should be deleted. I think the "Other member polls" area could be better organized. Maybe the topics could be catagorized.

I haven't been here long enough to notice a change. There are, however, a ton of forums to choose from.

I think that all relevant posts should be kept. All too often people get on these things and just post "hater" posts....let's keep things clean and honest and what pertains to the articles. Just one man's opinion

I think that when threads have been stagnant for 3 months, they should be automatically deleted.
I started a new thread (football topic) and someone jumped all over me for not scrolling down and using an existing thread that hadn't been posted to in about a year. Why would I go looking for that?
Also, I do not believe it is necessary to keep 5 full pages of each.

I think getting points for posting leads to a lot of the clutter. Points stop being motivating when one sees the garbage that is entered just to get them.

clean up the clutter, its like a guy whose about to retire, he starts collecting baby food jars to sort screws no one will use. The factory who packed the screws was sure he would use that 14th screw, but no. it just sits there until the baby food jar find its 2nd life value. I suggest a archive all topics after 30 days

As you can see I'm still new to the site, but any effort to clean up, consolidate, lock, or delete duplicate topics could only be an improvement. Clutter leads to confusion and chaos.

Since I just recently started browsing the topics regularly, I can't say I noted any difference, but anything that consolidates, and simplifies boards like this is usually an improvement.

I can't find the list of different colored cars and the number of points you need to get to that color. Would someone please tell me where it is?

Yes I have noticed changes. Unless I make a topic a favorite I may not find it again. if something is of interest I will mark it a favorite so I know if there are recent postings. On thing that bugs me is when members get way off target. All we can do is comment & ask for members to get back on target & hope they will. Just me two cents 20 points!

If a thread re. the color of a person's urine can get on OFF TOPICS, it wd seem that the bar is rather low! After all, despite the wording proviso, "ANYTHING other than gas & cars", there are several threads re. cars still there and active. Gotta go now & send more rice to the hungry - on the Fun & Fluff forum!

Again, respectfully requesting that the Free Rice thread be again placed in "Off Topic" where it can do more good, rather than in the "fluff" fun & games forum.

The topic, "Free Rice To Help Fight World Hunger" was, so Im told by ClayGal,kicked from the Off Topics forum and over to the light weight Just For Fun forum. To me this makes no sense. Sending free rice to starving people is doing MUCH more than just "having fun"! The "Breast Cancer" thread has served a good purpose in the Off Topics forum for a long time, and this could also. Please reconsider.

I haven't really noticed any change
I have not been a member for very long.
I have noticed that some frequent posters put the same posting in every category.
I assume that people can (within reasonable parameters) voice their opinion. I seems as though some have taken the opportunity to "go political" and have not much else to contribute as regards to topic of gas prices.
I personally feel that it diminishes the site. I have easy solution for this. I think that you are all doing a great job providing this web site.

I like the question and the direction you're taking with it. Unfortunately, I am at a disadvantage here because I am also a new member. I expect to provide more feedback on this issue in the future as I become more familiar with the web site. I have spoken up in other forums on this site that there should be less about sports and topics not related to commuting & transportation. There should be an emphasis on topics that are closely related to gas prices, i.e., driving conditions, commuting issues, etc., just to suggest a few. Thanks.

I, too, am a true Rookie to this part of the website. I don't have enough knowledge at this point to make an informed opinion about this particular poll question. I do enjoy this site and think it does a wonderful service. I posted gas prices today for the first time, and I noticed that as I drove down the street, it almost became a personal challenge for me to find the cheapest gas prices!! Thanks for the great service that you all do.

This is a great forum, and if used correctly should help in saving the users money. On the other hand, we must also note and prevent Large Oversea Oil Companies from taking away american jobs. Information is like gold. This forum is on track. If we could know if certain Gas Stations are owned and operated from the Large oversees Companies.
Lately I have noticed that many convenience stores that are owned by the American Hard Working Families stop offering gas because they aren't able to purchase very large amounts of Gasoline. I was shocked to find out that many Oversees corporate owned stations purchase Gas in (Six month prices, and even one years worth of Gas for a discounted price.
Quick Trip is owned by a great American Grown Convenance Store, but some of you BP, and others are owned by overseas large Companies. They bought their fuel many months ago and this allows them to take prices down to prices that puts the mom and pop store out of business.
Any Ideas?

It is annoying when you are reading a topic and someone posts some off the subject reply. If you want to post, post in the relevant thread or start a new one, how difficult is that? Good on this site to clean up the irrelevant posts and place them in the proper thread.
