Also, I hope that all is well with you. While I'm thinking about it, and while I have a few moments, I thought I'd share this with you. A video I took of a rainbow about three years ago. I never uploaded it until now. Hope you enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJKd8Xq1pMw Feel free to share it to others on Facebook or Twitter or where ever else. Have a great day and weekend.

You and others might not like me, but you should really see this and just what's going on in this nation of ours. I could post much, much more as there's plenty that's going on against people every day. Horrible! http://www.cnn.com/video/data/2.0/video/bestoftv/2014/08/07/ctn-pkg-candiotti-ny-bronx-gunman-bystanders.cnn.html

...better. As far as higher taxes, that's unnecessary. Eliminate the fraud, waste and cut back on the foreign aide, put the money to use here at home like it should be and put our people to work first and take care of our own people first and increase the economic base which includes more factories, call centers, manufacturing or an expansion of them all. That would provide additional revenue for government at the local, state and federal levels and deficits and debt could be reduced. They don't do it right to begin with. You're right about the corrupt SOB's in office as well as those at the top who won't do things right. While I'm here, I thought I'd share this with you. Hope you enjoy it. It is primarily the banks and the Fed who've moved the markets up or down, as the hedge fund managers are not as good as they are and are followers. Even the automakers invest in the markets and do quite well when they do. On the upward or downward flow, that's right, and they both do as well as individual investors who know what they're doing, but there's nothing wrong with making a profit and that's what's necessary for all of us to do better. The average investor and the average fund manager doesn't do so well because they don't know what they doing. I do, but I don't have the money to do anything. Otherwise I would have quadrupled my money already this year if I had 20 million to work with. It's why I warn many people ahead of time when the gas is going to go up or let people know it's going to be going down. You can make money both ways if you have enough to work with. I even wish I had $1,000 to work with as of now or earlier in the year as even that could have been doubled or...

Not so much the hedge fund managers manipulating the markets as it is the Fed and the Big Banks along with the ultra-wealthy of the country. Plus with the assistance of the ultra-wealthy throughout the world, OPEC, Big Oil, and other players inclusive of Putin, it's easy for them to manipulate both the supply and the demand. We'll be using more oil and fuel with the increase in air activity in Iraq as well for a few days to weeks, which also increases usage. Just more ways to keep the prices higher and we're going up, but not much this time unless we have a hurricane. You've learned pretty well though through the years. Have a great day and weekend.

Hello w4kh, Thank You... for your Happy Birthday post on my whiteboard earlier today. That was very kind of you and I really appreciate it. God Bless you and take care! By the way... my Dad and the rest of his family were from Greeneville Tennessee.

Agreed. There seems to be some 'base', perhaps atavistic element of human nature, that persists and drives leaders to seek a combative, rather than diplomatic, solution. Some would say it's the only way to push back aggressors, and maybe that's true in some cases.

The U.S. doesn't have a monopoly on that kind of thinking, either... it appears in most of the industrialized (rich) world. Canada too, especially when we've elected governments that particularly value resource extraction. The U.S. does seem to specialize in "manifest destiny" thinking, in its foreign policy. Hard to contemplate where it will all lead, but harder not to.

You're absolutely right... good comment. I only hope enough other people have a vision beyond "my back yard", to make a difference. Cheers. :-)
