You need to think about this: Is the discount worth it if you have to pay either a membership to join, such as Sams and Costco. Also are you going to pay a higher price for groceries to get their rewards or discount price, especially if you can get your groceries cheaper. Also are you driving out of the way just to get a few cents discount?
