You're welcome. Weekend rentals are an excellent idea. Just make sure that you don't let the car sit in the drive way too long. You want to consider the rental as an extended test drive which gives you plenty of time to learn your likes and dislikes about the vehicles handling and feel, how easy it is to operate the equipment while driving and of course blind spots. My wife has a friend who is about 5'2" who bought a BMW 5 Series. We've lost count of the number of dings she put n the body and repaired while backing into the garage because she is too short to see clearly and she doesn't know how to backup using only the mirrors which at my height of nearly 6' I find just as challenging. By the way it's this same friend of my wife's that is the reason I couldn't get a BMW if I wanted to, my wife hates the BMW's drink holders and rear window view when parking.

Renting, that's a good idea. Hopefully I'll be able to find all the cars that I would be interested. I probably won't be making enough long trips but I could always rent for a weekend. Most of my driving is back and forth to work and errands, so that would be ideal. Thanks for the idea.

Yeah, I know leasing is bad, but I just couldn't decide what I wanted after my previous car had been totaled. I figured I would try the Honda Accord on a three-year lease to see if I liked it plus that would give me plenty of time to research and also see the new vehicles that come out. I really like the 2015 Mustang. Maybe they'll make that a diesel before I get another car.

Have you decided on a particular vehicle, if not, which ones are you considering? I'll be getting another vehicle when my current lease expires in less than two years and have also been considering a diesel.
