We also have New Democrats. They are the party in power in Manitoba. They are past their best-before date, and have become the tax-and-spend party, fiscally irresponsible. They, hopefully, will be turfed in the next election.

They aren't "liberals" per se. They are the Liberal Party. We have a Liberal Party in several provinces, as well as a federal Liberal Party. It is a name. Our main federal parties are Conservative Party of Canada, Liberal Party, and Bloq Quebecois, which, of course, is Quebec bases, and I don't believe should have allowed federal party status. In Quebec, the Parti Quebecois is the separatist party, and the Liberal Party is the federalist party. But being a Liberal doesn't always mean one is a liberal, just as being a Democrat doesn't always mean one is democratic. Liberal Party tends to govern in a relatively conservative manner. The Conservative Party governs in a relatively fiscal conservative manner, but has had a shift to focus on social conservatism. Does that make sense?

How do the Liberals of Quebec differ from the Liberals here in the US?

"You're a pro-lifer, but support the death penalty." But that does make perfect sense. We are against the killing of innocent children who have not done anything to deserve the death penalty. We are for the death pealty when a person has proven that they are deserving of it. . . . Makes sense to me anyway.... . . . Good morning by the way

I just got this from LanguageMan: "Thought you might like to know. Our mutual friend, Dennis, 1cheapgasin from Indianapolis Gas Prices is no longer with us. He passed away yesterday afternoon about 3:30. He had double pneumonia, blood clots, and 2 fungus in his lungs. His wife Jane informed me. Forgive me if I don't write much. He was one of my better friends from here and in life. He was a REAL GOOD guy. I will miss him. Martin"

I'm never too far away to invite for casserole. I may be too far away to get there before the the food's all gone and the table's cleared, but I'm never too far away to invite.
