Welcome to GB. Would you like to be buddies?

The third round of price hikes is starting here, a day earlier than I figured it would. I'm thinking and wondering if there's gonna be a fourth, and I'm almost certain there will be, even if only slightly. Hope your St. Patricks Day is better than mine and that your week ahead is great.

Honored to have you among my friends for that matter. Spaseeba/Dyakuyu/Toda/Pilamaya/Thank you!

Regrettably, I do see that I was right, and that you're area is up a bit since last week and probably the week before. It's only going to get worse with what's still coming down the pipes from Washington, the EPA, the Refiners, Big Oil, the lack of pipelines [shipping by rail is always more expensive and leaks can be stopped on a pipe, versus the cars being wrecked on a train] too bad they won't do things right and fair. We shouldn't have to pay as much as this for gas, ethanol and going green isn't really that difficult and alternatives DO work and ARE a must for true energy independence, but they're not going to let us have that either.

We're seeing a slight dip in some locations, here as well as elsewhere in the country,, but that's going to stop soon enough. Prices are up again on the wholesale markets by about five cents a gallon since last Thursday, and most of us haven't see the hit fully head on from the last increases. We should all be going up a bit more by five to 12 cents a gallon more soon enough, and I'm expecting as much as 15 to 25 cents a gallon in some locations still. Technically speaking, we should be at about $3.55 right now in my local area, and that would be 14 to 20 cents a gallon at many locations more. Have a great day and week of it!

That's okay, quantum. Just trying to keep the Daily News forum from getting overloaded. It suffers enough from multiple postings of the same news article.

"No one really knows why prices fluctuate as they do. It's all a bunch of hot air." No, it's not! Most likely we’re all going up on gas prices. We had just started a downward trend here, but that over now. We had three or four stations down to $3.13 a gallon, now they're back up to $3.33 and $3.35 a gallon. The last one just went back up yesterday. One station in Miami is already $3.89 a gallon. I'd get gassed up now as it's going up more. I wish I could have told everyone yesterday, but I couldn't make it online other than to post prices in the morning. Sorry. The average there in your area will probably be $3.67 to $3.75 or more per gallon soon. I've been right 90 to 95% of the time, maybe as much as 98%.

FYI, its a frontier not a titan.
