From your neighbor in Omaha congrads on being in the top 300

by mloborny  Jun 23, 2014

Jizme (and cfendrick and others) is incorrect in thinking that super unleaded is midgrade. That all changed late last summer. According to GasBuddy (their game, play by their rules) midgrade is 89 octane. Drive up to the pumps to verify. Super unleaded is now 87 octane with ethanol at most stations.

by azndawg  Jun 21, 2014

Ah, I see what you mean. Stinks that their website it not set up like that cause people like me who only get non-ethanol but try to find the cheaper non-ethanol (87 no ethanol) can't check the website for that. However, I do appreciate you pointing that out to me!

Super Unleaded has always been Mid grade, where the Regular (Ethanol or Non-Ethanol) is the Regular Unleaded.

by azndawg  Jun 15, 2014

Correct, but I figured I would just put the enthanol 87 under the mid grade so people know how much it is. And then the non-enthanol 87 i recorded under the regular.

Congratulations on Earning over 3.48 million points, fantastic achievement. you are among the few committed buddies, who have really helped others save money on gas, over the years. You just don't get anymore new cars now. LOL... I would be honored to be your buddy. Thanks. Shep

Yes the Sinclair on Cornhusker & Yolande have re-opened. I am just wondering since Regular gas now has ethanol added. What are the definitions for posting under the grades in Gas Buddy? Plus used to be for lowest octane rating with ethanol. Regular was like the mid-grade. How has this changed? There should be guidelines for newbies in the help section.

I added a screenshot of the pumps to Hy-Vee on O so hopefully that helps. Have you been to the EZ-GO on O that has 4 regular unleaded types? Not enought boxes to enter prices. Unfortunately there is too many grades with and without ethanol. For more information please contact GasBuddy directly or refer to there FAQ for future help. For now I'm following this from from the FAQ which states to list all prices: GasBuddy encourages members to report all the prices that you encounter, regardless of whether they're higher or lower. This helps us all make an informed decision on where to purchase fuel. If you really have to make a choice, then try to report on a station that nobody else in your neighborhood is covering.
