We're spending a week in Sin City. The low price right down the street from our hotel is $3.55 at a 7-Eleven.

Hi I am sure the blog was moved to make more room for adds. I agree with you about social media. I don't belong to any of them either. I merely collect buddies from different locations. I usually contact them 2 or 3 times a year on their birthday or when they reach a milestone on gas buddy. I wish you would reconsider my request. Thanks. Shep

Do yourself a favor and get the discounts for gas when and where reasonably possible. I just helped one of my local GasBuddies get gas for $2.61 a gallon last night. When the price comes down and if you've got a discount, use it and buy extra if you can and store it until you need it. Drive with less in the tank as well if you can as when you're carrying around less weight, it'll save an extra .5 to 1.2%

Check out this topic/article I posted earliear: http://www.tampagasprices.com/News_Page.aspx?id=85370&category=1357&topic=570452&page_no=1&ign=1 After looking at all the data, I'd say we'll be going down in price for the next week or so, and we've been dropping, though not by much, just like I expected. I'm thinking it'll be down another five to 12 cents at the max, then we're going to watch it go up. We should hit the bottom on the wholesale markets in somewhere between four to 11 days or six to 14 days, then we'll either go sideways for a week or so then we'll go up. Depending on events in the world, how much we continue to ship by rail, how much more we'll export, we will probably go up past the recent average highs of $3.70 a gallon around here by five to 19 cents a gallon. It'll be similiar for you from your recent highs.

Keep in mind, there are already vehicles on the road that get 70 to 120 mpg, even pickups and SUVs that get 35 to 50+ mpg, but I'll still get more out of them all. The ones getting 100+ are mainly hybrids and plug-in hybrids, but it doesn't matter, I'll get 250 and more out of them.

This is actually for you and jowa both. Now both of you are right when it comes to what you said as it's all about saving money. You could both learn from each other and then you could both learn more from me. I'll get better fuel economy every damned day even if you assembled the best of them out there to build or modify a vehicle to get 70 to 120+ mpg. I know what I'm doing. Every .1 to every 1.2 mpg increase in mileage is good and it puts more in your pocket, but I'll get better fuel economy at 70 to 75 than most of the people out there because I'm going to modify my vehicles to do just that. Time is money as well, especially when your talking about the 18 wheelers on the road. They need to go faster and because of how they're set up, if they're going 70 mpg or 80, they're saving money versus driving 55 to 65. I'll get better mileage out of them as well. Still trying to convince one or more companies to do what I recommend and improve their mileage and save the money.
