May you have the hindsight to know where you've been, the foresight to know where you're going, and the insight to know when you're going too far.
Happy Saint Patricks' Day ;0}

LOL, we had told her to prepare for it! In my too many years, I've spent time in many corners of the country. Upstate NY is a treasure, NY City I could not get out of fast enough, but that was years ago. We have some family farm land in Illinois, the folks in the farm belt, outside of the stranglehold that Chicago has on the state politically, are some of the finest you'll ever meet. So far, I've set foot in 40 of the states, there's something unique about 'em all.

I have a niece that has been transplanted from Texas up there to NY City. It's fun to hear from her about the difference in culture!

And a big thanks for accepting the buddy invite!

You bet! There are definately pros and cons to any large infrastructure project. I remember the days of the interstate hwy system, the huge tracts of land that were affected and the outcry from farmers and ranchers here in Texas. Like I said I am a landowner here, my home and a couple of ranches, and I am a strong believer in property rights, but also the rule of law. When Perry tried to shove the Texas Trans Corridor down our throats I was right there at the forefront of opposition, we little guys were able to drive that back, through the legal system, proving it does work both ways!

Great comment additions to the Farmer vs Keystone thread yesterday! Thank you!

I think part of the issue is to wake people from their complacency and getting them to understand what is really happening AND why it matters so much that they need to speak up before it is too late. The BIG GREED machine is spending a lot of money filling peoples heads with misinformation .... :0|

Kudos. Good comment on the "The Farmer vs. the Pipeline, Round 4: Restraining Order Lost Again". These BIG GREED corporations are abusing the eminent domain concept for private profits. Businesses in general provide some sort of product or service to the public. Why should that give them the right to bully and steal land from private citizens? It boils down to a business saying "my plans for your land are more important than your plans for your land" ....
THAT is wrong :0|
