The Prius Plug in takes 3.8 kwh of electricity to charge. So that's about 40 cents worth of "fuel" to travel 14 to 16 miles. Compare that to gasoline in an average ICE vehicle which would cost you about $1.50+ in gasoline to go the same distance...
