Meant to say also that the holiday was ok. At least I was able to get a decent meal. Still looking for work. Would like to get food stamps again, at least for a little while until I find that job. Too bad Congress won't come up with a compromise on the unemployment benefits for everyone that lost them. I'd guess it's about four or five million now most likely that aren't getting anything at all. It's rough and there just aren't enough jobs.

border guards there doing their job, not pulling them away from the area and allowing the immigrants to run free.

Both sides want their New World Order, they're all working to give the wealthy a larger lower wage earning labor pool and they're also working toward higher costs for energy and electricity, which is going to get them their $5+ a gallon gas and higher costs for everything else. Businesses will be feeling the pinch more, just like Walmart is starting to feel it with their sales and profits not being where they expected it to be. Target lost $1 billion in Canada alone last year. Sears holdings is losing money, various tech companies have declining revenues or profits, record numbers are working part-time jobs, and they count them working as full-time to make it look better. Record numbers of us are not counted in the labor poor who are like me that don't currently work, but we're looking for work. Plus, I'm wondering how many are like me who aren't even getting food stamps now? It's not good. Obama nor Congress needed to add more money to deal with the immigrants, they needed to have the

Plus Bush signed off on legislation from Congress back in 2008, more or less saying it's ok for them to send their kids here. Obama wouldn't enforce the immigration laws we have in place, withdraw people from the borders and now we have an influx. We already had the resources to deal with it, we didn't need to spend more money to hire more people to work at the border and elsewhere. This is just increasing the size of government, adding to the country's debt and deficit, adding to the government's payrolls and takes more from the public in the long and short term. The government, and that includes all the agencies and all the leader from Obama to the least in his administration and the least in Congress and their staff and elsewhere know how to waste money well. We don't need to give them more to waste, but it looks like they'll do that. It's all a dog and pony show that they're putting on anyhow. They don't work for us the people and more are waking up to that fact all the time.

Forget about the purse string for a moment, Obama AND Bush [since I forgot to mention that him yesterday] both made their invitations per se to come here to this country. We didn't and we don't need more illegals here and we really don't need more immigrants here [we had reduced the number that were allowed to come here for a few years to help protect our jobs] and not have jobs enough for them AND our own people. I've been out of work since October of last year. I'm one of the three to 10 million who don't get counted in the labor pool to make the unemployment numbers look better. I'm an Independent. You can ask 10k, another GB here and a Democrat, who's also like me and understands what I'm saying and doesn't like what they're doing either.

"More gridlock from this do nothing Congress." Don't let the media and anyone from the government fool you, as it's not just Congress on this one either. Plus, what happened to all the money we've paid out through the years in gas, oil, diesel and other taxes? Why did they use some of that money for other projects? Where's the stimulus money Obama signed into effect in 2009 that Bush supported be done? Where's the bridges, roads, road improvements, etc., that was supposed to happen from it? $800 billion? Where'd it go? Where's the $600+ billion the Fed can't account for? Why should we send money to other countries, even if it is the Ukraine [I'm part Ukrainian along with being Slovak, Russian, Hungarian, etc., though I'm completely American by who I am and by birth] when we don't even take care of our own?

Hey bro, enjoy the 4th!

Much like they don't count people like me who are looking for work, don't get unemployment any longer, etc., just to make the numbers look better. No different with having a record number of people on food stamps either. Never had it so bad in my life, not under Carter, not under Reagan, not under the first Bush. Started to get worse under Clinton, Gingrich and Congress under them and only got worse with Bush and Obama and Congress under them both. They don't work for us the people, if they did, things would be way better for me and millions of us.

"No surprise that the Gas & Oil Party (GOP) would use this opportunity to advance the agenda of their corporate masters." Not that I care about the GOP, but if you think the Democrats are any better, you're nuts. I've been around for a long enough time to know they're full of it just like the GOP is. Both sides are owned by Big Oil, corporate and special interests, both lie, don't do enough for the people of this country and make things worse. Kinda like having a record number of people working part-time and including them in the employment numbers to make it all look better while the full time employees are down and number of people in the work force makes it all look better on the number they report to the public, but it actually isn't.
