I'm thinking we'll see it go lower still on the open markets, and we'll see a larger loss of jobs as I had expected in various places, which will be bad for the economy if it stays that way for too long. I'd rather see gas at $2.35 to $2.50 a gallon without any loss of jobs as people would spend just a shade more, but you're right, retail sales are down in many establishments.

I'll be writing to you via the inbox on the reply for the most part. It's good to hear that the price of gas is down there as well, as I had expected it to be. I've expected more of a decline at the pump, but it hasn't happened here as of yet; and quite frankly, they're gouging us to a degree now with it being at least 15 to 20 cents a gallon higher than it should be. If we were seeing it priced normally off of the wholesale cost of gas, we'd be at an average of $1.95 to $1.80 a gallon already here in the area, but I'm just seeing the first of the $1.99 and $1.98's here in the area. They're already down to $1.83 in places in Tampa, but not here on this side of the bay.

to the lower to mid $2's for another one to three months before it starts any real action to the upside again. Anyhow, since we're in the season, a very Mele Kelikimaka/Kala Kristouyenna/Merry Christmas and a very Strowe Nowe Leto/Xin Nian Kuai Le/Happy New Year to you, your family and friends. Hope it's good for all of us. Mine is only better because of working again.

Hey there Jim! How have you been? Geez, on that statement below, I WAS right with the price going up, but it only happened temporarily on the wholesale market before it started to continue it's downward path. For the last three to five weeks, I know we're in the bottom area, or very near it. Most likely it'll go up again on the wholesale market, and a bit at the pump, but then it'll go back down again to hit the very bottom before it starts to head up again. As it is, I'm hoping it doesn't drop down too much more on the price of oil and gas as there'll be quite a few people that will lose some of the higher $14 to $42 an hour jobs out there, at least temporarily. At the pump, I've been right on what I've written to many others and to posts in the articles, so like I've been saying to others, I think we still have a bit more to drop at the pump out by you, down here and elsewhere in the country at least for a short amount of time. I wouldn't be surprised if it stays in the upper $1.90's

I don't believe we'll go down that full 20 cents before it goes back up, but we'll drop another four to 15 cents a gallon, maybe 16 to 18 at max. As rippinusoff said after your post, when it does go down, it won't last for long.

Just to let you know, your gas prices as well as others will and should be moving down a bit more, but we'll be going back up once again, sometime within the next three to seven weeks or so. I can see that it's bottoming. I could have already made a bundle going up and going down. Save the money when and where you can. Pass it on.

A BIG CONGRATS on reaching that 3M milestone and your nice big red limo! : ) Wow! Truly magnificent Keep leading the way for others to follow here in GasBuddyland! Others ahead of you and behind you have retired, so there is lots of room at the 4M milestone, and it looks like a few of the top GBs are going for that 5M milestone or more before they retire, and you know they have been here almost from the start 13+ years ago! Keep going, don't stop now! It's nice seeing you come back each day as I track your progress to that 4M milestone, there are only 146 GBs that have continued on to 4M out of more than 8 million people that signed up to be a GasBuddy over the past 13+ years! Thanks buddy for your 8+ years of dedication here on GasBuddy! Have a nice weekend! Ron
