There is a much bigger issue than who pays: we deal with politicians that will not take responsibility for their actions. Nukes are just one of the situations where this takes place. You have this unmanageable mess in gulf off Louisiana and Texas based on politicial expediency and nothing else. Do not go nuts on the bird today.....

May all of my Gasbuddy's have a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas. Best wishes throughout the Holiday season.

You have just stumbled on the one element that is keeping the majority of new nukes from securing construction permits. In the case of Plant Vogtle units #3 & #4 and VC Summer #2, there are agreements in place with the taxpayers/ratepayers of the specific state and with the Investor Owned Electric Utility and the NRC to fund them initially and to collect part of the returns over a set number of years. The agreement in place in South Carolina has a higher percentage coming from SCANA than the agreement with Southern Companies in Georgia. There are many other planned new nukes that have not yet been able to secure agreements of this nature.

Not good.. now way cold!! Brrrr.. get sir catsworth to curl up on the lap.. it's that brisk... this HP may indeed take it down to the15* mark... gonna find out... stay warm! joe

interesting.. warren buffet just bought duracell* from PnG for 4.6 billion in stock... wonder what new battery technology will soon be emerging from the world's leading battery maker??? buffet was said to have remarked.." they're a bit boring, but also a worldwide leader in the market, and they will fit in well w/bershire hataway's other leading portfolio holdings such as GEICO, BNSF and Dairy Queen" Duracell* manufactured batteries for Neuton* mowers in the past... who else can they make batteries for??

yes.. I'll try to post one shot with the new walk.. our 15 YO crete spalled and cracked.. what a bargain.. . so Im going for the factory produce block and brick... hopefully the installer will follow the rules.. so far looks good.. I had three steps years ago.. but I want a larger landing so we could sit out.. the guy put in two steps instead of the original three.. so he was off code.. and a bit drunk when he did it.. it came out fair to poor but for $700 what could I gripe.. it WAS a cheap job.. that's where I learned my 1st lesson about going cheap... I don't do THAT anymore... sunny day!! NRG willl make some photons jus like me N you!

I really like that sola tube idea... but I really have no where to use it to advantage.. except in the basement... I've seen it in actual action.. and it works well...
