A BIG CONGRATS on reaching that 2M mark and your nice new ride! Wow! Truly awesome! Keep leading the way for others to follow here in GasBuddyland! Others ahead of you have retired, so there is lots of room at the 3M milestone! Can you believe that GBs are still active going on 13 years and heading for the 5M milestone, but most GBs retire between 3M and 4M! Thanks buddy for your 8+ years of dedication here on GasBuddy! Have a nice week! Ron

"While it is true that we can affect the climate with emissions I cannot..." Well, it is true, but it's not the US alone. We're polluting less than we were five, 10 and 25 years ago. We use less today. What goes up into the air circulates throughout the globe. But what's going on in China, India, Indonesia and other countries is making up for what we've stopped doing, but our government and the world puts the blame on us. So, we're going to pay the price for it. As it is, we can only do so much to correct it as the world is over populated with too many people, too many animals, not enough vegetation and not enough trees to make use of the CO2 that people, animals, vehicles and whatnot else emits.

But, you have to remember along with others that Obama, his administration, many in Congress [Democrats AND Republicans both have investments in oil, natural gas, etc., and are getting richer in the process], Al-Qaeda, Big Oil, the Taliban, OPEC, the big Banks, many among the ultra-wealthy [think Warren Buffet, George Soros and others], the eco-Nazis [I'm a greenie, but I'm not a whacko like them], Putin and many others among the top 2% of the world want gas to be $5 to $14 a gallon here in this country. They're going to get it there yet. Exporting more only furthers their goal and helps it come into place that much sooner.

"This may be ok as long as it doesn't interfere with our need for this product!" What's that supposed to mean? What do you mean if it doesn't interfere with out need. It ALREADY DOES! We import oil, and we've been exporting a small amount through the years, but now we're going to export more. What it does is it ensures a higher price for oil and gas in the long run, just like it has helped to keep prices higher than they should have been over the last few years. Much like the drilling and fracking that we have done [and I don't really like to see the fracking] has helped to keep the supply higher and prices lower than where they would have been.

Sorry, your claims about oil extraction creating a void in the Earth's crust are just wrong. Think of it this way: Jar of marbles or sand, add water to it, the fluid just fills in the spaces in between, open a drain at the bottom of the jar and the water runs out - nothing changes. I am a professional geologist. I see that you are into music and computers. Please do not speak of that which you do not understand and I will do the same. Misinformation is the enemy of good public policy.
