according to the NRC site... I've got 8 nuke plants within about 100 miles of my home.. and the one of highest electric rates in the country.. what ever happened to "too cheap to meter" ? it went up in smoke with TMI 2 in 1979.... wanna see how close you are to one? http://www.nrc.gov/info-finder/reactor/

w/regards to the glory of nuke plants? What to do with 1 trillion dollars worth of spent nuke waste which will be radioactive for 10,000 year half lives and to wit .. no one wants... And how to decommission 100+ nuke tombs (and at what cost?) now nearing 60 years of age.... Sorry but I simply can not agree with you there my friend. best, joe

CR Tesla quotes: "technological tour de force" "innovative" "99 out of 100" "stock price hit an all time high" "frankly we're enjoying the car so much I don't think we have any plans to sell them anytime soon" " the staff loves driving them and we're gaining some interesting technological insight as well" 'nuff said!

Nuclear energy’s environmental benefits are so vast that respected green organizations, such as the U.S. E.P.A., recommend nuclear as part of a portfolio of technologies needed to reduce carbon emissions in our country.

by drillintheUSA  Sep 29, 2014

NUKE benefits: In 2013, nuclear plants accounted for 63.3 % of America’s total clean energy — more than all other clean-energy sources combined. What these plants don't produce is vital to America’s environmental future. In 2013 nuclear plants prevented 589 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions, 1 million short tons of sulfur dioxide and a half-million short tons of nitrogen oxide from being released into the atmosphere and contributing to acid rain & urban smog.
