great comment--... I think most will prefer to maintain control of their vehicles

"Ooh! Everyone is jumping off a cliff! I think I'll go join them! Pretty much the gist of all these articles. Everyone else is doing it so you should too. Are we really that childish?" LOL! I love it! True! Plus, the percentages are great, and sound great, but the actual numbers are nothing. Most can't afford them and plenty don't want them. Hope you had a great Independence Day. Have a great day and week ahead.

"So let's hear the eight reasons that they could go down..." That's right, there ARE reasons why they could and WILL go down at least temporarily before they go up and after they do go up they most likely will go down after September of this year.

"... physics, the laws of which are pretty immutable. Look up..." Don't tow the line! I and others can or could make 'em that get 70 to 150+ mpg, but they won't allow it because they won't make enough. There are a few out there that are modifying them and upgrading and improving upon vehicles, whether regular gasoline powered, diesel, hybrid or EV that improve the fuel economy and get 40+ mpg out of pickups, 70 to 125+ out of hybrids and extend the range of EVs. Having a Lincoln Town Car that gets 40+ mpg on the highway is nothing to new to me.

"Heard that before. Wasn't true then, won't be true now." No, it's true, they're peaking now and have been peaking in most cities since the 12th of April until now. We, including you folks, should drop down about five to 14 cents a gallon before we go up again. We'll probably peak again between late June and mid September. But on the world stage we have a dog and pony show going on with the Ukraine, and other places, so depends on what happens with all that, the Keystone XL [which we need] along with other piplelines versus how much more they'll ship by rail [gonna make it more expensive for oil, gas, and everything] and how much more we're going to export out of the country [that'll only boost prices higher or keep them higher] along with a variety of other factors.

Thanks for the conversation. I apreciate your civil commentary (no matter how wrong I see it)
