It will bypass literally dozens of refineries, cross the largest aquifer in North America to be exported away from our markets (and pumps):

Actually, an article in today's Houston Chronicle reported that the 2 pipelines being built (and one reversing direction) are likely to lead to higher prices, not lower. They will provide storage relief in Cushing, thereby removing the current downward pressure on WTI prices, moving them closer to the higher Brent world price.
