Thanx for the tip about changing the link to the statewide leaderboard. I think I've now posted notices in all the right places. Holler if you run across one I missed. The new link is:

Hey Bar... mermaids?? Must be a bad day for you.. Galvaston bay is just a poop hole anyway... might as well dump tthe oil right into it.. it only flows into the polluted gulf..which eventually leads to the atlantic.. nothing to worry about since your state has no shoreline on the polluted ocean right? Mermaids?? And the mods took my right to comment away..My conclusion?? They don't want a smart web site.. just mermaid comments.. A new low with regards to indifference about cleaning up after ones self....very troubling to me.. maybe you just dont like T.. since you hide your buddies list.. maybe Im on the wrong board.. These foolers gripe about wind turbines killing birds..a few here and there..then they make jokes about polluting and entire bay and killing 1000's of birds in one shot.. yep..real funny. You have a nice day...J1

Bar, Work?? My condolences. .today..I take the Acura ILX hybrid out for a 3 gallon burn..120 miles through the pine barrens at 65 twith the fresh snow clinging to all the trees.. real pretty..the work will be washing the car tomorrow when it warms up!! This just in: fossil foolers are claiming solar panels cause clouds, ithas nothing to do with coal plant emissions!! See, those tree huggers aren't no good!! for that 3 gallon burn.. 32 years of thankless toil got me here.but Im free at last....please don't work too J1

If the sea life in Prince William Sound still has not returned to it prior balance in 25 years since the Valdez spill, then these spills dopermanent and irreparable damage which wilk never be rectified or remediated back to the original conditions. Who else but the fossil foolers gets to trash the planet without due cost? Best J1

By-the-way, most likely we’re all going up on gas prices. We had just started a downward trend here, but that’s over now. We had three or four stations down to $3.13 a gallon, now they're back up to $3.33 and $3.35 a gallon. One station in Miami is already $3.89 a gallon. I'd get gassed up now as it's going up more. I wish I could have told everyone yesterday, but I couldn't make it online other than to post prices in the morning. Sorry. You’ll see prices 15 to 35 cents a gallon higher there in your area soon. They won’t let it drop far when it does.

1977 was actually colder, in this area. 1967 was a cold winter throughout that I recall as well, though 1979, 1985 and 1987 had some new record colds as well as some record highs. It's gonna happen.

"Interesting they picked 1979 . I remember it being a very cold winter. Remember the plane crash in the icy Potomac that winter and guy that jumped in to save a woman?" Yes, I sure do. However, it was not as cold around here that year as many others. Nor did we have snow as we did during other winters. This winter has been especially warm, and not even one day below 35 degrees, and we generally have at least two to five, even two at 32 or colder. We're already hotter than many, hotter than the last four winters, and we'll have an extended or hotter summer this year here.
