Are you a friend of idigau22? So am I. I met him face to face at a big Gas Buddy meeting in Oregon several years ago when he was still living in Modesto, California. All the guys below except the guy second from the bottom are my friends.

It's just like we could have had vehicles on the road already that get 70 to 150+ mpg, but they won't do it, they won't allow it. We could have done ethanol right, so that it would be less expensive, we'd have more of it and we wouldn't be using food sources like corn for its production, but they won't do it right, they won't allow it. Same with drilling for oil ON LAND normally which could still be done, but no, they won't allow it. They're rather more pollution with the fracking, make more by placing other fees and restrictions, etc.

They worry more about global warming, and it's true that it's happening, but what they're doing isn't going to help matters since we have too many people on the planet and the animals to feed them and we don't plant enough vegetation, which uses the CO2 that they want to reduce any how. It's a simple fix to plant trees, grow more, etc., but they all want to make more money by reducing emissions further, making everything including the food more expensive, want more in their own pockets, etc.

I agree, you've got to spend money to get some things done, and businesses should be cleaning up where they should. The EPA and government allows them to pollute, for a fee. The eco-Nazis, well, they want all of us to not only pay the higher prices for the fuel and energy, but for everything else as well, as that's what it's going to do. It doesn't have to be done like this at all. Plus, with too many of our jobs having been shipped out of the country under Clinton and Bush, as well as another million or so under Obama, and with them not replacing those jobs with something paying the same or near it, it doesn't make it good for us. Considering that the water going into the stream was probably cleaner, that happened from your friends drilling, well, it's just utter nonsense.
