I heard it was a good people watching experience too. I still plan on going as always. This year I'm going to pre-purchase tickets so I HAVE to go!

You have to go...that Festival is a lot of fun! It has already begun...but I am giving it a couple of more weekends before going. The jesters are awesome...they insult you and you pay for tomatoes to whip at them while they are in the stockades!

I'm with you about the weekends. The Renaissance fest is another yearly event I've missed year after year. After years of trying to talk my kids into going with me, they went on their own, with their friends. :( I never say never, though. Have you gone to the Ren Cen fest?

by matman01  Aug 20, 2014

Productive it least Saturday was. No real plans for this weekend...what about you? I LOVE weekends that are without any real plans...unless it is a concert or something like the Michigan Ren fest! Have you have been to that Festival?

by Sisu58  Aug 19, 2014

At least your weekend was productive. Everything I "planned" didn't work out for one reason or another. No worries, stuff happens.

by matman01  Aug 18, 2014

I worked on part of it was pretty uneventful. I hope that your "interesting" weekend was a good one...did it give you a good surprise?

by Sisu58  Aug 18, 2014

As much as I admire nurses, sad to say, I'm not a nurse. I'm sorry I missed the 1996 D/C too! Thank you, matman01, I had an interesting weekend, how was yours?

by matman01  Aug 18, 2014

You worked a 12 hour shift? Wow...are you a Nurse? I don't want to rub it in...but the 1996 Cruise will always be my could even park at Red Coat back then...they didn't have tents blocking the parking lot. Duggans had bleachers to watch front row burn outs and the police didn't care. Oh well, glad that I went back then. Hope that you had a great weekend!

Your welcome. I didn't watch much of the cruise, I peeked in on it from time to time. I heard about it after the 1995 D/C was over, the next year I was working 10-12 hours on the afternoon shift, that killed my chances of going. I heard it was the place to be, darn it. Hope your having an excellent weekend!

Thanks for the link....I really didn't get to watch much coverage because I worked from home yesterday. Where does the time go? Did you get to watch much of the Cruise? What was your favorite part? It used to be a lot more fun when it was not such a money machine. I went for about 6 or so straight years when it was in its infancy. But then people started charging for parking spaces and vendors were selling bottled water for a couple of bucks a bottle. It took the fun right out of the whole Event. But the 1996 Event was awesome. I hope that you have a great weekend!
