Grey up in Owen Sound, moved to Tara in 1999. Would love to say I enjoy winters, but I will in another 14 years when I retire and go south...:) How about you?

Have you lived here all your life?

by MUSTANGSRUS  Nov 18, 2014

We live in the last house in Tiverton on Highway 21 when heading towards Port Elgin. Get real lucky going any where when 21 is shut, as it is now. Actually, I can't see the highway from the house right now. Snow both falling and blowing. Glad we got our shopping done yesterday, because we would be SOL today. Certainly early this year. Stay safe.

Got lucky and had mine out for the last time Wednesday of last week. They have seen the roads for the last time in 2014. For both of them, the steel wool is in the exhaust pipes, the Stabil has been put in the gas tanks, they are up on jacks so the wheels are just kissing the ground and won't feel square when spring arrives, month balls and bay leaves are in the trunks and under the hoods to hopefully repel the 4 legged rodents that like to build nests there and chew on the wires, they have had any dirt removed and their winter coats are on, and the battery tenders have been put in place. My husband put the snow tires on the winter beater so I guess we are prepared as much as possible for winter in Bruce County. Good thing, because the highway in shut for the first time since last winter, and schools are shut for many miles around us. Where about in Ontario do you hang your hat, since you post in this area so seldom? Stay warm and safe.

Yes my friend.....You are right when you left that message to my brother VIS. We are talking liters here.....BUT.....most of the guys are Americans and they don't have a clue about litters. VIS is my twin brother so I do sometimes this job for him and sometimes he does it for me.

Hey, at least it is warmer than the last time I saw you post of our local board. Welcome back and hope you had a good time during our long weekend and have a good and safe summer.

Don't know where you are from, but I hope you brought skis and a snowmobile with you to get around this part of the country this week.
