Thanx for thinking of me on our Independence Day . Sorry that I forgot Canada Day on July 1. Sorry to hear about your hospital stay, have lost my consec days many times but mostly it was because of fishing. Hope that you recovery goes well and that your weather improves. Our temps have been in the mid 20's for the last few days but all that will end when/if we get rain on Monday -have a great weekend.

about 60 miles north of Anchorage. If you ever do make it up, let me know in advance

Well you got us beat today, we only made it to 16 under cloudy and rainy skies. YT is really nice, took the Top of the World Hwy from out of Tok, AK to Dawson City, nice little ferry (free) crosses the Yukon. Whitehorse is a touristy little town but the ride on the ALCAN from AK to AB or BC is really a nice ride - most of the time.... lmao

Hey Dawg, thanx for thinking of me - Nope didn't feel a thing - quake was too deep to cause any damage or be felt other than the Adak area - just Mother Natures way of keeping us on our toes

by AKmailman  Jun 20, 2014

I thought you'd be a lot warmer than us in the summer because you're farther south but by the earth axis I guess we're closer to the sun - Ever been up here?

by AKmailman  Jun 20, 2014

Our winter temps are mostly higher than your since our weather pattern change where as you're stay the same because of the flatness.

by AKmailman  Jun 20, 2014

I think our weather is nicer than your because we have all these weather patterns developing all around us, the warm trade winds and the cold Siberian Express. Also, the mountains around us have a lot to do with it.

Yup, up in Fairbanks, this is the 109th time they'll have it

by AKmailman  Jun 20, 2014

Weather has been real spring like here, early May the temps were in the low 20's, then a little rain and cloudshine but the sun came back and the last couple of weeks it has been in the high teens. Looks like our summer will get off to a good start even though we will start loosing daylight :=( Drive safe and have a great weekend
