Enjoy the weekend and the upcoming week and the rest of the year ahead, just in case I don't make it back here for whatever reason.

"They aalso have nostalgia working in their favor, I wish them luck and Harley needs someone to keep them honest and alert!" So very true! I hope they succeed as we need those jobs, just like I need a real job.

"A slip up in their planned obsolescence, it kicked in too soon and we will all pay the price anyway!" All too true!

by LanguageMan1  Jul 06, 2014

It's kind of like the fracking and drilling for oil. I'm not for ALL the fracking we're doing, but I also know that if we didn't do it, we'd be paying more as none of that oil would be on the market.

No, I agree with that about the land grab. What I'm basically saying is that over compensation is bad for us as the cost isn't absorbed by the company, it gets passed onto us all. Just like when they do pass the gas tax increases or pass the mileage tax for vehicles, it's going to be passed on to us all via higher prices for food, clothing, etc. It's never a win for us, but I'm glad he got more, but it was just too much. I could agree with $400,000, maybe $750,000, and for a duration of time, not $1.6 million.

Hey, I hope that you had a great Independence Day and have a great week ahead.

by LanguageMan1  Jul 06, 2014

"Hoorah for our side!" Yes, AND no; as we're all going to pay more for it one way or another. It adds to the cost of it and helps to keep the price higher than it should be, just like shipping by rail instead of using a pipe.
