"10 cents per kWh? Ah, but what's the cost for installation and maintenance?" Factoring it all in, it's probably less than with coal or natural gas or especially nuclear. It works, and they've done this before back in the 1990's, but they weren't able to get the costs down enough. The efficiencies are still 9 to 18% for the most part, but you can get them up to 25% and better.
