With the increased MPG of current vehicles road use is still occurring as are expenses. When are these nuts who object to the increased fuel taxes going to either reduce their use of the roads or recognize that the increased fuel tax rates is the logical alternative to mileage tax which the insurance companies would use as an excuse to raise their insurance rates.

I saw your post on the news article about lead foot costing $.20 more per gallon. You should go back and read my post: I did the math on past experiences. YMMV tho, b/c a little Accord doesn't push much wind, so speed doesn't affect MPGs the way it may affect other vehicles, like SUVs or trucks. I don't think I could get the same results in a truck. Just thought you'd like to know!
