Good points. I've been monitoring the weekly EIA report on GasBuddy for approximately two years and trying to correlate the two primary stats (inventory and utilization) to actual gas price fluctuation in my region for both the preceding and subsequent week. Half the time my educated guesses are correct (probably a coincidence!) and just enough to tease me into staying with it. The other half of the time the prices move in crazy directions compared to what the EIA stats suggest should happen. As you point out, much more happening that the EIA numbers don't account for when it comes to price expectation. I'd be just as accurate by flipping a coin!

Annual fuel expense follows right behind my annual food expense. Pretty soon, it'll be a choice between one or the other :-( "Why complain about $20 in 18 seconds when the piece of beef I just bought costs $30 and...freeway driving. $30 bux of beef gets chewed up and swallowed in 15minutes." Ya gotta point to a degree, but, it's only going to get WORSE!!! Soon that beef will be $40 or $50 and the fuel will be $25 or more. Eggs will be $4 and $5 a dozen and more. Some of us don't have the $30 for the beef.

And yes......Look for a NEW album coming soon......an updated tribute to mostly Lynda, with a few posers thrown in @ the end. Stay tuned!

Yo, LM1....Get a job---you got WAY too much time on yer hands!!... ;]....Once again: Jersey @ the moment has the 4th LOWEST average state price in the USA (2nd lowest taxes) and Alaska is 44th (LOWEST taxes in the USA). BTW, GB posted my gas prize photo (I won on Feb. 11, 2014). However, a MUCH better image is available in my 'Old School, New School - YOU Decide' album (last photo). Enjoy!

Well, why doesn't CA have "enough" water? Because they have the Green imbecility of diverting water from the San Joaquin Valley to "save" species in the Sacramento delta. Two pieces of Green imbecility don't cancel out. No, they multiply, and give the works to the folks living in the San Joaquin Valley. You want to see modern poverty? Drive up and down Highway 99 from Stockton to Bakersfield. The coastal elites that wrote the water regs don't give a dam about these folks, and happily buy into Green imbecility so they can feel good about themselves at someone else's expense.

This is the time for the spring switch-over price increases, so I suspect that will be the dominant direction.

Gas prices drifted down a couple cents here this morning.
