Glad for you to Afford the Tesla... Clean Open Air now... I used to work at a data center by the NJ Exxon refinery... Phew... people claimed the smell of "butchery"; it was the refinery distillation towers.. Same odors in Texas refineries of Valero

Sweet... but at a price of an "increased" home electric bill... Track the increased kwh vs fuel hikes that started back Mar 12th... Bill

Sounds like our 06 Prius but the whoosh is gone now <grin> Not many retirees drive a Tesla.

OH, let me reword that comment: "My electric service alone was slightly over 1,500 kWh over EACH OF the last 3 months."

Check out my most favorite LED desk lamp. It has variable output with the max of 10 watts:

Hey Joe.... GREAT JOB on the winter savings plus you saved a total of 36,000 kWh too on the panels? My electric service alone was slightly over 1,500 kWh over the last 3 months. Yes I thoroughly compare the wattage usage with LED upgrades. That's the fun part ... seeing have much you can save. Example: I had 4 spotlights in a kitchen fixture that used 50 watts EACH. The LED replacements use 5 watts each. That's trading 200 watts for 20 watts. My outside spotlights used 90 watts each. Now the same LED spot uses 15 watts, multiple that times 8 bulbs. All the 60 watt equivalent use 10 watts each. The 40 watt uses only 4 watts. (equal to an old night-light bulb) Of course my night-light bulbs use only 1/4 of a watt - same with the landscape LEDs, a trade of 12 X 7 watts for 12 X 1/4 watts. The energy savings are massive over time. Continued later......
