I have seen some utube videos of washing machine motor being used like you describe. I think I still have a washing machine motor laying around from an old Maytag washer.

I have been working on the neighborhood city councilor to get an EV Garbage truck for Cambridge. I think if we can get them to get one that they will then replace the rest as they wear out. I think it will only take one.

I think you will be fascinated by your solar generation. I know I am. Yesterday I got a 22 kw-hr day and today looks better. I hope for a near 25. I use between 8 and 9 kw-hours a day so getting a 25 puts a lot away for next winter! I made through the winter with a $59 credit! All of my electricity was generated by the sun even losing 6 weeks of sun to the mammoth snowfalls that we had this winter. Your going to love your solar panels!

Jayburt posts article about garbage trucks, not garbage article. Jayburt get pumped by Ev fans, clean air fans, and folk that like to sleep till noon! Give us a quiet, non polluting garbage truck please! then work on those nasty butt diesel school buses next ..J1

Hey jay.. I did some numbers for a typical or not so typical Feb-Mar 2015.. Here's what I found.. how are you doing ?? If you have a moment.. would love to hear what you're getting on the Holy Toledo! joe I crunched the numbers.. the period 2/19 to 3/20.. we generated 709 kWh off the roof... used 282 while generating and sent 427 back on the grid to offset the 862 we used off the grid.. so when we add the 862 off the grid.. plus the 282 we used while we were generating.. that totals 1144 kWh demand for our residence during the period. of which 709 was either offset or directly powered by solar pv.. just a nick under 62% of our energy for the month was supplied or offset by the solar pv... I was just a wee bit off on my initial guessemate before the actual number crunch.... my per kWh rate is 18+/- cents per delivered from PSE&G from their mix of generation sources.. mostly shaky nuke.. joe
