Brooklyn is around 4 hours south of us. Near Ann Arbor, west of Detroit. Just noticed our radar here, we have some stormy weather moving in quick. Looks like a large system too. Could be interesting,,, Happy Father's Day to you..

Hi Tom! Hope you are doing well. Did everything go good with the grandkids? I hope you had a great time with them and made some good memories. We've been good here, just busy. My work has been really busy and I haven't been posting very often lately. But I wanted to check in and say hi...take care my friend..Dale

I grew up in Oakland, just a short distance from Alameda. In the entire East Bay area, I don't think you can find anything in a decent neighborhood for under $450 nowadays. I moved from Sacramento 6 months ago to Murrieta, about 45 min north of San Diego where the housing is reasonable for CA. I live in a 55+ development built in the 90's that's really nice, lots of greenbelt, no homes have direct rear neighbors...all separated by greenbelt and paths. Golf Course, club house, pool, etc and 24hr live security gate. The houses are 1200 Sq. Ft to 2100 Sq ft...most 2bdrm/2bath some 3 bdroom/2 bath. Prices are around $215k - $315k. Everything is close by, within 2-4 mi. Cut my gas bill in half. Prices have rebounded about 15% since we moved in, but these sold for $400-500k before the crash and dropped 50% so it'll take 100% increase to get back to 2006 prices...don't see that happening soon. The state is run by big spending politicians who continue to run up our deficit. I worked in Dayton O

I'm retired also. I buy used Dell laptops and refurbish them so they look like new...new palm rest, top cover, etc. I sell them to some regular computer shop customers and on eBay. Keeps me busy and supplements my Social Security.

Hi Tom... I hope things with the grandkids are going well as planned! We had a very nice weekend, couple of bonfires, a kayak trip,, just relaxing. Our oldest son has been here for a few days, visiting from Omaha. He'll be heading down to Detroit tomorrow for a day or so. I think he's going to a baptism for his god daughter or something. Talk to you soon my friend,,,Dale

Yeah they will be tired for sure.. that's a rough transition. But sounds like they're kind of used to it. Give em a day and they'll be ready to go. That's a great thing to look forward to Tom. Always love making memories like that. Good night my friend..Dale
