Great avatar.

The Chevron Richmond refinery has had sulfur concentration issues for years. Releases are probably the least of their worries.

As I remember it, there are too many items of risk at that site in the first place. There are way too many flammable substances there by definition: refinery and power station.

I am definitely not in the Richmond California area nor anywhere near the Chevron Richmond Refinery. I have worked with the Chevron Richmond Refinery concerning parts and repairs on their gas turbines.

Thanks! I will check them out this weekend. My website (some pages a bit behind) . It got some of my biking info through the years. www.evpv.net

oh yeah....I've been in panic land in the middle of nowhere in northern Maine where there was no place to stay. Lucked out and got a cabin for 1 night (their min was 3 nights but they had one open for one night before the next group arrived.)

What is your largest single day ride. Do you know how many century rides (100 miles) you've done? I've kept a spreadsheet a year since I restarted in 2005. Although the 2005 total was only 243 miles from July forward. Started small and have really built on it.

That is cool! I've thought about cross country. I've heard of issues with 'dead air' crossing issues from 2 different people who have done it. (Tail wind the same speed you are biking in the summer.)

Wow. I've had several 200 mile weeks. Have come close but not quite on a 500 mile week. Top month was just over 1,500. Top year was done as a fundraiser for the library and that ended over 11,000. Basically I try to get 5,000 a year. All the small rides feed to need to see how far I can push it in a single day.

Oh, the price of gas should decline further for the next four to nine weeks before going up. Just keep your eyes on the wholesale market prices. If they're up for three to five days, especially over 10 cents, then you'll most likely see it go up at the pump. I'm guessing it'll go up by 15 to 35 cents a gallon, most likely 10 to 25 cents a gallon when it does. Later!
