Hi CactusBobs: Titanic 1985 told me about you telling him that my 1992 Buick Roadmaster had a control arm bushings problem. You are right. That is the problem. I have a question for you. To repair this do I have to remove the ball joints. They are in good shape. The control arm is one rod with a nut on both sides. I also found out today that when they did a wheel alignment their are no shims on one of the bolts. You can see where their was at one time. But the bushings do have dry rot. I was told that some cars you don't need to remove the ball joints. Thanks again for the info. Carl

Hello. Please review Quick68's thunk problem(s). The 1992 Buick will be completely repaired next week. Thanks again :-). Dan (MGY)

I received a call and was told they hadn't touched the refrigerant, but had added an extra quart of oil which caused the vibration. They said to bring it in and they'll check my vehicle again. My truck has a lope rather than vibration now. I'll post again after I've had it checked out.

>when A CEO makes a million dollars a WEEK! something's wrong .< No, when a sports figure makes a million dollars a week something's wrong. No CEO out there makes a million dollars a week.

Hi Cactus, Thanks for commenting on my using solvent post. I used paint thinner and it increased my mileage back to where it was and I passed the CA smog with over 300K miles on the car. But it's a HONDA! I've been do it myselfing on cars since I was a child learning from my dad his mechanic friends and what I find out myself. Most of the time I can do it but it takes a while...

Hello. A very sincere thank you from me for helping Tim out. My late Mom was confined to a wheel chair after a stroke. I can't imagine driving a mini-van with that disability. It takes real courage doesn't it? Dan (MGY)

Hello. Once again your assistance is needed on the Car Talk Forum. The GB, Tim, is confined to a wheel chair and his Town & Country mini-van is stalling on an irregular basis. He has been advised by all posters to have an OBD II scan done. To me, it may be a fuel pump pressure issue or a sticking EGR valve, but you work on these vehicles daily & may know right off what is wrong. He is handicapped , so his need is urgent as the van is converted for a wheel chair. I've requested he post the engine in it. Thanks again - Dan (MGY)
