Thank you for the info....the version I am showing is 4.2.1 (8C148). Under "home button" the options I see are Home, Search, Phone Favorite (which is checked) , Camera and Ipod.

You seem to know a lot more about iPhone's than I do. I have an old phone (3GS) and constantly the Gasbuddy app freezes and pretty much takes down the whole phone with me. The only way I know of to get it back is to do the "Windows" thing and reboot it. I tried your suggestion you posted on a forum about hitting the home key twice but on my phone it brings up my calling favorites not the apps that I have recently process. Suggestions? I know quite a bit about Linux/Unix/Oracle...etc Practically nothing about Apple stuff. Thanks!!!

You say your iphone is in the middle of an upgrade. do you have to tell it to get these? just wondering, I just got a iphone, switched from the first droid that came out.
