"Years ago, a natural gas powered fuel cell for your basement was developed. It was the size of 3 AC units. It could provide enough power for your whole home on demand with never the risk of a power outage from a storm. The grid loses about 11% of all power generated betime it gets to your home. I often wonder what happened to this project and if someone bought it and killed it off." It and variants of it are out there. They're not cheap, but they'll pay for themselves as will solar and wind and other stuff if done properly. As it is though, more will become homeless like me bro, and more that aren't will have a choice between food, electric, other needs, etc.
