I agree with your post. We should register every one, just like cars. No?

I completely agree with your idea of using gas taxes for transportation projects. I suspect Portland has bad traffic jams. In Seattle, I-5 is a parking lot at times due to there being only 2 through lanes (not counting exit lanes) of I-5 under the downtown convention center. If gas taxes were raised 10 cents a gallon, there would be billions available for extra lanes on I-5 and other projects. The way it is now, there are no plans to fix the I-5 bottleneck. Some even said that the bottleneck was created on purpose to create traffic jams and force people to use the bus. If so, that is evil.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! : ) Have a wonderful week and be safe as you travel! We'll be on a short trip Saturday and Sunday to Rochester, NY to visit family! Of course, we'll take GB along for the ride! lol! Thanks!

A BIG CONGRATS on reaching 1M and your first new red car! Awesome, most new GBs will never make it to 1M, but you did! : ) You're one of only 5,539 of more than 100,000 GBs that have accumulated at least 1,000,000 points! Keep going another 2 or 3 million! Another 2M and you'll be into that nice big limo! : ) Only 1,519 GBs have made it to 2M, so there is room for you there also! Many GBs ahead of you have already retired! DON'T give up now like so many of those that retired once they got to 1M and 2M! You're doing great, it takes persistence and dedication, but you can do it, so keep going! Keep going like a Portland PRO GasBuddy! Have a nice week! Thanks buddy!

"The time to sell oil should have been when the oil prices were high at $110 not at the current $91. So the US loses the profit from not timing the market at its peak. Not a wise trading move. Lets see, 30 million times 20 is 600 million dollar loss. Would have been nice to use that money to stimulate job growth. But will probably buy replacement oil later on at $140 which will cost us 1.5 billion. Again, not a wise move. A total loss to the economy of a mere 2 billion dollars. " You're a smart man! Yes, off it's peak, and a bad move. More than a $2 billion dollar loss because of the ripple effect! Done at the wrong time! Timing is everything!
