Breakfast?

Hi everyone, it looks like the same old political forum on many of the topics, but I'm glad to see this topic is still civil.

Hope you all have a sunny day.Miss yas. huggles

Good morning from a beautiful 54° AZ pre-sunrise morning...going into the upper 70's today as a distinct light orange hue over the silhouette of the AZ hills on the eastern horizon as dawns first light breaks.

Momma's up and got the buttermilk biscuits about ready for the oven and I've made the coffee and the waters just about to come to a boil and I'll get the grits a going!

Staying the heck away from the Phoenix/Glendale area this weekend as the Super Bowl nears...going to be some real congestion going on so we're holding our annual "tailgating Super Bowl outdoor Barbacoa and Boston Lager Fiesta right here at the homestead with friends we've made ver the years we've been wintering here!

Have a great week!

I heard the storm is so bad back east, that De Blasio has declared Martial Law to be in effect from 11PM on... I'll bet that felt good when he did that as an extremist progressive liberal. I'll bet it felt better than the thirst buster ban to implement.

SE3.5: <<<"Will CNN provide minute by minute coverage all day long?">>>

--I wouldn't be surprised, I watched a lot of CNN while Dish network was infighting with Fox, it was the "Airline Crash New Network" 24/7 until the Paris terrorist activities, at which point it became the "Paris Terrorism New Network" 24/7. I have since regained my normally watched programming.

Also, SE3.5, earlier I asked you to identify a poster you quoted in the Joni Ernst thread, would you mind answering this? I want to know whom I am on a forced ignore with. Thanks.

Good morning, GB friends.

Prayers for all the eastern coast people here....that all is safe for them through the storm.

Also, prayers for the two families of the Japanese men, one who was murdered and the man still in custody, in fact for all those in custody of men who would torture and kill them in a minute. God send them all comfort.

And I am sure they will continue it until June!

And of course it will ALL be due to global warming!

Good morning, every buddy!

Happy start to a new work week.

You Easterners take care now, ya hear?

Comrade Wilelm de Blasio says that it is going to be the worst blizzard that New York City has ever seen!

"This could be a storm the likes of which we have never seen before," Comrade de Blasio.

You know that global warming and all that.

Everyone out east take care!

The storm currently moving through Indiana is forecast to hit NYC to Boston (and Middletown) from tomorrow afternoon with historic blizzard conditions!

A foot to two feet in many areas with 2 to 3 feet possible!

And high nor'easter winds.

"Given the projected intensity of this storm, as well as the strong model agreement and the textbook nature of the overall pattern, it seems very plausible to expect widespread snowfalls from Monday night through Tuesday night of 12” to 24” between northern New Jersey and southwest Maine, with some areas in mesoscale bands getting 24” to 36”. Lesser amounts can be expected further to the southwest, with Philadelphia possibly getting a few inches on top of its Monday total. If the system moves more slowly than expected, it could add to the accumulations on the southern and western flank of the vast snow shield. Massive transportation impacts can be expected over the next several days, with reverberations to the air-traffic system nationwide. The high winds and snow could lead to large-scale power outages across New England."

Mayor Bill de Blasio warns New Yorkers to "prepare for something worse" than what they have seen before." [ie, even worse than the snow job the communist liberal mayor has given the City!]

Meanwhile, back here in balmy Minnesota it is mild, sunny and NO snow for most of the month.

Good afternoon everyone...
still recovering from all the fun yesterday.... (LOL)....
Yes, Ernie was that and more...

On Mr. Rogers, i came home once and saw my boys watching Mr. Rogers and was quite upset as well... My wife told me to not get so upset, and just watch it with them....
I did and got less upset...

Everyone turned out ok.... to date at least... LOL

God day, buddies.

Beautiful day in the neighborhood, will you be mine. I used to think Mr Rogers was the kookiest person on tv...but when my teenager would sing, "will you be mine", melted my heart.

What do you all think of footballghazi?

I think we need a game in the Political Forum called Political Trivia, when someone gets the question right, that person asks a question. Maybe we could do that with out talking smack to each other.

I don't even know where to post this silliness.

There was a 'breast feeding conference' to promote breast feeding.

Small problem.

Breast feeding was FORBIDDEN at the 'breast feeding conference' designed.

You just can't make this stuff up.

I am sure there were some advocates from both sides of the political spectrum.

But you and I BOTH know where the majority of the idiocy is coming from.

Hey, I haven't been home (Chicago) since the wedding I attended a number of years ago (I remember watching coverage of Princess Diana being killed in the tunnel while in the hotel room dressing for the wedding). I used to practically live at the Adler Planetarium, is it still there by chance?

Good Evening....
"I am one who sits in the theater and covers my eyes..."

Sounds like someone I know... I was thinking of going to see it, my nephew already saw it... Have to check out my sons to see if they have seen it (maybe I could go with son)... hmmmmmmmm....

Anotherone, may have been prompted by a GB topic....

EZ, I read the email I got from the mod on my funny post... which had my response... LOL...

WF had the same avatar (I think competing with Anotherone's baby one).... in a previous post, had Complained about a bad taste in mouth... and had made "snipy" remarks to many in the forum .... I posted my cleaverly posted recoomendation...
I don't remember the topic... will have to "think about it"....

the mod took my posts down LOL.... Afterward WF kinda taunted me... LOL I still enjoy the satisfaction, and resisting the rebuttal has actually been quite sweet...

I've found many times not responding to the taunts is quite enjoyable... and from what I can tell, it has a better effect than continuing the line of posts....

It's my oldest's b day... he was born a few minutes before this post (a few years ago)
LOL

We go to celebration tomorrow.... I may be going to pickup the "rich" son... since he has no car (unless he borrows one) he has been known to uber .... (and I like going to pick him up, as long as there's no MAJOR traffic, then... Not so much....

Good day, buddies.

I am going to American Sniper on Sat night. I am one who sits in the theater and covers my eyes, and says, "oh, no, oh, no." Lily Liver.

I went to "Gone Girl" and the couple next to us had approx 8 yr olds with them. Hard to believe. What really is wrong with a parent who allows this with little ones.

I would like my children to win a home in Arizona or Punta de Mita and give it to me. (-;

Good Morning, Every Buddy!

Have a GREAT weekend.

Went to see American Sniper yesterday.

Tough to watch but I highly recommend it to everyone. Makes you understand a LITTLE bit what our brave men and women have gone through.

On a side note, there were 2 20 somethings who brought their 3 or 4 year old daughter to the movie! INSANE! I had everything I could do to restrain myself from going over to them and telling them what idiot child abusers they were. [At least I hope it was their kid and not that they were baby sitting someone else's kid and took her to a violent R-rated movie.]

Can you post what I missed on my whiteboard? I'll delete it once I see it so it won't get you into trouble again.

It seems that today political correctness is the cover for intimidation.
I saw where an AF major general has said that if anyone in the air force talk to congress favorably regarding the A-10, it should be considered treason.
airmen talking to congress favorably about A-10 is treason!

"A top U.S. Air Force general warned officers that praising the A-10 attack plane to lawmakers amounts to “treason,” according to a news report.
Maj. Gen. James Post, vice commander of Air Combat Command, was quoted as saying, “If anyone accuses me of saying this, I will deny it … anyone who is passing information to Congress about A-10 capabilities is committing treason,” in a report published Thursday on The Arizona Daily Independent.
In a response to the news outlet, a spokesman at the command, based at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, described the comments to attendees of a recent Tactics Review Board at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada as “hyperbole.”
In an e-mail to Military.com, spokeswoman Maj. Genieve David said, “The intent of his comments were to communicate the Air Force’s position and decision on recommended actions and strategic choices faced for the current constrained fiscal environment.”
She added, “Our role as individual military members is not to engage in public debate or advocacy for policy.”

Definition of Treason:
In law, treason is the crime that covers some of the more extreme acts against one's sovereign or nation. Treason against the king was known as high treason and treason against a lesser superior was petty treason. A person who commits treason is known in law as a traitor. How did this guy every make major general. It appears if anyone is committing treason it is the general. For his callous disregard of the constitutional authority of the congress To get honest testimony in obtaining the facts before legislating.

Now I fell bad... well no not really.... LOL ....
Actually, I wanted to buy a bigger tv and put the "old" one in the other room... But that got nixed by my wife.... she said "we can't replace this tv until in breaks down.." (I was thinking of helping it, but she would suspect it...)....

Come to think about it.... we've replaced some furniture before it broke (If anyone ever meets her, please don't repeat that comment.... EVER).....
Oh well, regardless if he "won" it or won it, I am looking forward to getting rid of the other one...

I tell you....and I know I will get letters about this...the very folks who call for us to play nice, celebrate the loss of one of us. I thought folks here were not bigoted, can we not be different. Can we not talk different, are we to all be alike. Sometimes I actually go.........whoa, I would have not said that. Key word there is "I". I do not want to monitor speech...I may find some speech very objectionable, but that is part of making this place a interesting. Now, maybe I would not use the word horse pucky, or your mama looks like a freight train, but I am real sure I offend folks about forty times a day.

I say, "take a load off", quit getting wound tight about what someone else is saying.....I do not want us to be homogenous....

I miss troller as he was colorful, he said what he thought, many of us are milk toast, many of us try to monitor what goes on here by giving flowery speeches about being nice. How about being accepting, we are all different and that is cool. I love all the folks at this table for all their differences. I will argue with them and call them some name and then we all go on.

Why not laugh at some of the stuff and take a load off.

--It gets old listening to the same thing every post every day, when a person thinks that he will get the goat of another. When I make a comment, I am often sarcastic, as that is my style, and then I move on. The truth is that people can beat each other up as much as they want, in Troller's case I really liked the guy, and he made salient points. It was more like stepping in to remind him quietly that his fly was open, rather than any sort of chastising. Personally, I thought that Troller's return volley to Worry was amusing and one heck of a spike, as Worry has had it coming. But on the other hand, stooping under the level of a cesspool post is exactly what Worry's original post was designed for, and Troller bit it hook, line, and sinker, that is the part of it that bothers me.

Mini - you are right - I misunderstood your comment. It was not A1 you were talking about. MY BAD.

Now back to the story - did TD "upset me" - no not really but in my opinion he did cross the line into breaking the rules of the forum. I do believe I am entitled to my opinion on stuff just as you are entitled to yours. In my opinion Worry bent the heck out of the rules and TD proceeded to break them.

flyboyUT: "Mini - why are you saying that A1 "upset" me?"

Never said a word about A1.

flyboyUT: "I was never upset - A1 asked a question and I answered him. Then he is playing some kind of game with others on the subject. Thats fine but it can be overdone and that is what I have told him."

Why are you justifying your attempts to censor Another poster to me? If you want to decide who is "playing some kind of game with others", play moderator-light and tell them when enough is enough, when to stop discussing something, or asking question, etc., you go right ahead and knock yoursef out.

flyboyUT: "Upset is rather a strong word to use to describe a difference of opinion."

I don't know if you were/or are upset or not. I am sure of one thing - a difference of opinion doesn't require a directive. Perhaps you and I may have a difference of opinon about that.

Good Morning.

God is good, so good is good as well... ... ;-)

"Or rather, who did he upset?"

Panama, it appears to have been an interaction with WorryFree.

On another note.... I had a funny messsage from my "rich" son.... Got a txt (and email) saying... Got some good news... I won a 32 " tv. Good news (for you) is I don't want it, so I'm having it sent to your house.... should get it next month...

Funny thing is, we have an old tube, hd tv that I (of course) wanted to replace but my significant other has "blocked" my wishes... It's actually the same screen size (32") but significantly smaller / lighter.

My son has "won" quite a few prizes over the years .... guess he got the "luck" i never got (at least in prizes and gifts)...Ok... back to salt mines...

Hope all Have a great day....

Panama19: "What did Troller_Diesel do?"

Be careful. You'll be accused of being a horse beater. ;-)

Panama19: "Or rather, who did he upset?"

flyboyUT, SE3.5, EZExit... and perhaps worryfree?

But, most of those critical of Troller Diesel - I think he made them very happy - there's been all kinds of talk of peace and respect, etc., going on in some of these here parts.

Oh, good morning...

mexicomaria, "Do none of you miss men like Troller, Python Hunter, 6cyl, etc.?"

Yes.

Anyone else notice the pattern of what the liberals around here have done for YEARS?!

ROTFL

You can't change the spots on a leopard and you can't force liberals to be decent or honest.
