Good Morning, Every Buddy!

For those of you who are traveling, stay safe.

For those of you who are walking (reb), don't fall.

;-)

Hope you recover quickly, reb.

You already have something to be thankful for ... that it was not worse.

God Bless!

Little sore from taking a tumble yesterday afternoon rushing to the train since i got out of work a little late..

Fortunately just a couple of bruises on hand, elbow and knee... Sure I looked like quite a site... but since I didn't see it... no problem ... :-)

My wife fell on Ice 2 years ago and shattered her knee cap and was out for 7 months... I just have to take advil and take a shuttle to work .....

LOL

Hope all have ability to take time to reflect on all you have to be thankful this Thanksgiving... Pray you and family / friends have safe travel, whether it be cross country, or from one room to the next...

Happy ThanksGiving all...

Had a friend that went ice fishing for the first time and reeled in 350 lbs. the first day.

Unfortunately, he flooded his kitchen when he tried to cook it.

Good day....friends.

Nice here today...folks out fishing on ice...say what???

My shih tzu Bean is suffering severe separation anxiety...when we get our coats on he starts yelling, if we talk on the phone he starts, if one of us goes out the door... This is what he looks and sounds like. I actually think it is a new way to get attention......when the going gets rough.

Love dogs.

Good Morning, Every Buddy!

In the busyness of getting ready for Thanksgiving, I hope you (and I) take time to remember what it is really about ... thanking God for His blessings and goodness to us.

May the good folks of Ferguson find something to be thankful for in spite of the animals destroying and tearing down.

Starting day early.

I like Mike Rowe. Always have. That was an eloquent response to the partisan hatemonger. I don't know how he was in high school, but on the air, he is the epitome of cool. And human. I would rather watch Dirty Jobs than a Hollywood action movie.

Good day..........

The wind blows from the west here and maybe, just maybe the leaves can blow to the neighbor. Actually, we mulch the leaves.... I won a big watering trough for horses at a Christmas Party ( wasn't I just lucky). Fill that with leaves and grass and make black dirt...mud pies.

reb...Happy anniversary and tell me that is your wife and you in your avatar...then tell me which one is you. (-;

It is 180 below zero and snowing....

Reb, happy anniversary to you and your bride. (Does your wife know?)

I got the leaves up before the rains. Ready to winterize the little engines.

I have a project going that's going to be taking a lot of time. I don't know how much I'll be around.

I drive a vehicle that weighs 35 tons and has 22 tires.

I can deal with the ice... ;)

It's easy, anyone can do it.

SLOW DOWN!

My dear Father, who has gone Home, once told me about driving on ice and snow, "Never drive any faster than you're willing to run into something."

hahahah, "I don't care how much of a STUD you are, no one knows how to deal with ice."

ok, talkin' smack now.

Actually, I think Panama is a cutie.

I moved to Northern California when I was a young lady (-;...The hospital I worked at was up a hill and if it snowed, everyone called in late, or just plain didn't come to work. I just drove my GTO right up the hill. Then when you were going skiing they would have flashing signs that said chains....say, "what?"...everyone had to pull over and put on chains...that was a new one to me. We folk in Minnesota call snow a challenge, fun, bulldozing with the family Honda. Young kids go out on the lake and go like a bat and then lock 'em up and go all over in circles. It is scary what Minnecoldans think is fun. If you hit an ice chunk from a cut hole for fishing then it became more interesting.........oh, oh. Stupid/

4WD and studded tires on all four corners and you'll think it is springtime. Then all you have to worry about is dodging all the hockey pucks on the roads that are running slicks.

Even motorcycles get around on ice wearing studs.

"No one knows how to deal with ice."

The smart ones do - they live in the nice warm, dry, desert where snow comes maybe once a year and lasts for an hour or so. Now once every ten years or so we allow the snow to stay a day or two longer just so we remember just how miserable it is. Then we go back to mowing the lawn and working on maintaining the suntan.

We got 16 inches in our first snow a week ago Monday.

And then have had an additional 4-6 inches a little at a time.

But nothing like Buffalo and others are having to deal with. That is insane.

But ice is the worst. No one knows how to deal with ice.

Take care, I75.

A little pre-dawn freezing drizzle led to numerous crashes, including a 22 car pile-up on I-75 at 6AM. Thankfully I am in the 7AM cohort!

A-1, how much sn*w do you have down? We got 3" on Monday, schools were closed (it came just at drive-time), and amazing ly it stayed around all week! Most "first snow" of the winter is gone as quickly as it comes, but it went below freezing with the front and stayed below freezing until Thursday afternoon. Even those couple of "warm" hours didnt' melt much, and Friday we were back in the 20s most of the day.
Finally this morning we have hit 34 on the way to 42 on the way to 52 tomorrow.

I still need to rake leaves and clean out the gutters. Before I put up any Christmas lights.

Good Morning, Every Buddy!

Take care driving in the freezing rain, Tower. that is the worst!

SE3.5, it will take more than a 'light drizzle' to wash away our snow.

It will take a monsoon of historic proportions!

SCAM ALERT!

I have received a dozen emails from Sun Bank Trust in the past week re: "security issues". I do not now, nor have I ever had a relationship with Sun Bank Trust. The emails go straight to trash.

I do not open emails from financial institutions, even if I am a customer. I delete, then go to their known secure web site, sign in, and check for my "secure messages".
