Within hours of Malaysian Flight MH370 disappearing, I posted a prayer request in for them in the US Politics Cafe topic.

As of yet, there is NO sign of the aircraft.

Or ANY explanation of what happened.

This deserves our attention.

So rather than the discussion getting lost in an unrelated thread, I decided that we should have a topic devoted to Malaysian Airlines MH370 as a place to discuss the implications and/or the latest news.

Please post any news or your own views.

What happened?

From AnotherOne's post: "Ships looking for debris from the plane on the ocean floor off the coast of western Australia have so far scoured 44 percent of the 60,000-square-kilometer (23,166-square-mile) area the search has been focused on"

I'm betting they're going to find the Lost City of Atlantis long before they find any trace of MH370!

The crash of the GermanWings flight into the French Alps, apparently purposely done by the co-pilot, raises even more new questions about what happened to the Malaysian airliner that just "disappeared".

We are basically sitting ducks. Our only real defense is to mercilessly deal with these people in such a manner as to dissuade others from joining such organizations in the first place.

If you think that is scary conceder this. By some estimates ISIS is making three million a day in oil sales. Let's say that is exaggerated and call it one million a day. You can buy a retired wide body aircraft for as little as two million. You could even buy retired military aircraft from the old Soviet Union or a third world county.

The terror originations have the funds to buy a used large body long rang plane. They have shown that they do have skills with computer technology and their recruiting is attracting some young educated people.

It has been shown that an air plane can be brought down by bomb, direct attack and in some cases by the crew itself.

Now for the scary part. A plane takes off for an international flight. In route the plane is taken down. No one would know until the plane fails to arrive. Instead of the plane not arriving another one using a "high jacked" transponder signal shows up in its place. This plane now has authorization to fly over the target county. This plane could then be flown into any target that was close to the destination airport or anywhere on the flight plan.

Terrorist have the money, they have access to pilots, and they have some skill with technology. The questions are how long until they merge the assets. Will the governments around the world address the risk and can they stop this kind of threat.

Now for the really scary part, I'm not a terrorist or even college educated and I came up with this idea just wondering "what if". What are the people who really want to commit atrocities dreaming up?

Also remember that MH370 is still missing.

I have always felt that the inability to track a large commercial aircraft across the ocean was one on the biggest security threats.

Terrorists are becoming better funded and better at using technology. If they could find a way to "hijack" a transponder signal any aircraft could enter a nation's airspace with "authorization". Once inside that nation's airspace they could attack any target before the defense forces could react.

Still no answers in one of the biggest mysteries in aviation history.

Malaysia: If MH370 not found, it's back to the drawing board

"KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) — If the massive undersea search for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 turns up nothing by the end of May, the three countries leading the effort will return to the drawing board, Malaysia's transport minister said Saturday.

"By the end of May, if we still can't find the plane, then we will have to go back to the drawing board," Liow said.

Ships looking for debris from the plane on the ocean floor off the coast of western Australia have so far scoured 44 percent of the 60,000-square-kilometer (23,166-square-mile) area the search has been focused on, Liow said. In the latest report he received Friday, he said the search team had identified 10 hard objects that still need to be analyzed."

One of the strangest mysteries in aviation history continues, in spite of Malaysia now proclaiming it "an accident".

MH370: Malaysia officially declares disappearance of plane an accident

"Malaysia has officially declared the disappearance of missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 an accident and its passengers and crew presumed dead, 327 days after it vanished.

The announcement cleared the way for the company to pay compensation to families, but provoked fury among relatives of the 239 people on board, some of whom believe there is still a chance their loved ones may be alive. Several said they could not accept the decision."

It's surprising they still can't narrow the MH370 crash point any better than about one-tenth the earth's surface ??

Awfully big ocean out there.

Just look how long it's taking with the latest crash (AirAsia), where they know the location in only 100-feet of water

"Indonesia's top rescue official says authorities believe the missing AirAsia jet is likely at the bottom of the sea, based on radar data from the plane's last contact.

"(Because) the coordinate that was given to us and the evolution from the calculation point of the flight track is at sea, our early conjecture is that the plane is in the bottom of the sea," said Marsdya Tni Hendry Bambang, head of Indonesia's national search and rescue agency."

Missing flight is 3rd Malaysia-linked incident

"The disappearance Sunday of AirAsia Flight 8501 was the third air incident this year involving Malaysia, where budget carrier AirAsia in based. Here's a look at the two other disasters, as well as the latest missing flight, which went missing with 162 people aboard less than an hour after taking off from Surabaya, Indonesia, for Singapore."

An Air Asia commercial airliner flying from Indonesia to Singapore has gone missing.

More ho hum conspiracy theories or shocking new information?

'U.S. military shot down MH370 because they thought it had been hacked and was about to be used in terror attack', claims former airline boss

"A former airline boss and writer claims the U.S. downed Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 because the military feared it had been taken over by hackers and was about to be used in a 9/11-style attack.

Marc Dugain, the former chief executive of now-defunct Proteus Airlines, said the jumbo jet was shot down near a U.S. military base on the remote island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean after it was hacked.

He told Paris Match that islanders in the Maldives near Diego Garcia told him they saw the missing aircraft flying low.

Dugain spoke of a fisherman on a small island who spoke of a 'huge plane' in Malaysie Airline's colours on March 8."

The case gets more bizarre.

This official claims to KNOW what happened.

But won't reveal it.

"TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – A police expert from the University of Indonesia (UI), Bambang Widodo Umar, has urged National Police chief Gen. Sutarman to disclose the information on the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370. "He should be transparent," said Bambang.

On Friday, the general said to have the knowledge of the possible cause of the plane accident, but declined to divulge it.

"The Malaysian Police and I have known the truth, but I will not reveal it here," he said."

Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 flew into history and mystery 6 months ago today.

No one has found even the smallest trace of the airplane.

No one knows what happened.

Not one piece of wreckage has washed up on an seashore in the world.

No satellite has spotted wreckage - or even the airplane itself.

Let us hope and pray that we do not find out what happened to it this coming Thursday - 9/11!

"Money moved from accounts of 3 passengers into 4th passenger's accounts

More than £20,000 has been stolen from four passengers aboard the doomed MH370 flight.
Five months after the Malaysia Airlines flight went missing, mysterious withdrawals totaling 111,000 RM (£20,916) have been recorded, reports claim.

According to reports, the transactions were made on July 18 when money from the accounts of three passengers was transferred to the account of a fourth passenger before it was removed."

CNN-

"It is "highly, highly likely" that Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 was on autopilot when it flew into the southern Indian Ocean, Australian Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss said Thursday.

He also announced that the search for the missing plane is moving to an area farther south in the southern Indian Ocean.

Flight 370 disappeared over Southeast Asia on March 8, and searchers have so far found no trace of the Boeing 777 or the 239 people aboard, making it one of the biggest mysteries in aviation history."

MH370: Widow Confirms Pilot in Control; His ‘Secret Plan’ Retrieved

"Faisa Shah, Pilot Zaharie Ahmad Shah's widow, has confirmed he was in control of the missing MH370 the night it went missing on March 8. It flew off course from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

''Shah was the man who said, 'Goodnight Malaysian 370,' the last words anyone heard from the aircraft," Widow Faisa Shah said.

They claimed the widow's confirmation they got was a major breakthrough in the mystery surrounding the missing flight.

''In the three months-plus since the flight went down no one in the media has been able to get close to Zaharie's widow. We were lucky to get confirmation from her that it was him who was at the helm. It's a breakthrough, because that was an unknown until now," Taylor told Waikato Times."

AFSNCO, you are right.

"This thing just will not go away..."

And the reason it will not 'go away' is because the airplane and almost 300 people 'DID go away'.

In one of the most bizarre and mysterious cases in aviation history.

And especially with the political and muslim terrorist implications, it should NOT go away!

More suspicious news about the pilot of the Malaysian flight points to possible hijacking of the airplane and practicing landing on a small remote island.

Welcome to the caliphate!

Malaysian Airlines flight MH370: captain 'plotted route to remote island in Indian Ocean on simulator'

"The captain of missing airliner MH370 has been identified as the prime suspect behind the plane's disappearance, it has been reported.

Malaysian investigators have completed checks on all 239 passengers on board the jet when it disappeared during a flight from Kuala Lumpar to Beijing on March 8.

Police discovered that captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah, 53, had used a simulator to carry out drills for a flight far out into the southern Indian Ocean area to land on a small runway on an island, the Sunday Times reported.

The records of the simulation were deleted, but retrieved by security experts as police found the captain, married with three children, had no social or work engagements lined up for the future - unlike other crew members."

Is mystery underwater sound the crash of Flight 370?

"(CNN) -- Australian researchers released an audio recording Wednesday of an underwater sound that they say could possibly be related to the final moments of missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.

It's a long shot, but researchers at Curtin University near Perth, Australia, have been studying records from underwater listening devices, including those meant to monitor for signs of underwater nuclear explosions, in an effort to help find the missing plane."

"The four acoustic pings at the center of the search for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 for the past seven weeks are no longer believed to have come from the plane's black boxes, a U.S. Navy official says.

The acknowledgement came Wednesday as searchers wrapped up one phase of the search, CNN's Rene Marsh and Mike Ahlers report. Some 329 square miles of ocean floor were scanned, with no discovery of wreckage from the missing Boeing 777."

This is a false statement. Only islam foments religious terrorism. Christianity is a religion of peace. islam is an ideology which masquerades as a religion. Islam is not a religion.
