There has been much debate over the years about getting rid of DST and why we should or should not keep it.

In my opinion it should be eliminated.

For me all it does is assure that I am waking up to darkness year round and I am having to go to bed when the sun is up for about 3 months in the summer.

I would rather leave time alone and have a little more sunlight in the morning and less later at night.

There are thousands of things congress should eliminate before it takes up DST.

I would rather stay on standard time year round. That way people would get some sunlight in the morning year round.

The way it is now it takes away the morning sunlight in the spring and then gives it back to us in the fall.

Living as far north as I do we get really long days in the summer and really short ones in the winter, with DST that results in the sun staying out until nearly 10 PM at the peak of summer. I agree with those who say it is nice to have some sunlight after work but few people stay out after 7 or 8 most nights and it is really tough to get the kids in bed when it is still bright as day outside.

My vote is to eliminate DST and just use plain ol regular time. Leave it alone all year long and just let people be.

I would eliminate the switch.
Spring forward one last time, and make DST the NEW standard, year-round, world-wide, forever.

The thing that I like about DST is with the push back of darkness in the evenings there has been a decrease in crime. Those bad boys hate the light of day.
