Please decide which addresses the 'actual' issue and which addresses the 'distractions' with regards to Obama's speeches...

Please.

And I thought that the Left's attacks on W were annoying... Sheesh.

"I am guessing you have not watched MSNBC lately."

I don't watch 'any' mainstream media outlet for information on politics. Comedy Central is all I need ;)

Love Stewart grilling Pelosi the other day with regards to the Obamacare website failure and that being indicative of a broken Washington in general (with regards to procurement of services, etc). She looked incredibly inept trying to deflect his questions.

"to liberals, who call anything antithetical to their view a lie (se Reid).[right after MSNBC]"

Unfortunately for your example, I am a Moderate. So no, it does not just apply to Libs ;)

Yes, MSNBC slants in the opposite direction, especially with their historical (and some current) attacks against W.

Who says you can't do both at one time?

Everyone by now knows that Obozo is just blowing smoke. He has demonstrated his incompetence many times over and all his "glorious" plans have failed miserably.

The fact that he *claims* to want to get back to what he has already proven himself incapable of just simultaneously shows that he wants to distract from his most recent failure that's getting way too much attention for his comfort.

"But, change the subject if you must to paint Obama in a bad light too - it doesn't change the point that the media slants their coverage to suit their agendas ;) "

Oh there is no doubt about it. That is why I laugh at all the FoxNews bashers on here. I admit they are right...but MSNBC is even further left than Fox will ever be right. MSNBC, as their ratings show, does not even attempt at being fair. At least Fox has some personalities that are liberal. MSNBC's "conservative" commentators are just left leaning people that are near the center. :-)

But yes, all news sources have some slant to it.

>>>So at this second *squirrel!* it is the economy now that the right is interested in? What about *squirrel!* 10 minutes from now?

It's been the issue since the recession. That Obama pays lip service to it, whenever it's convenient, is not a problem for anyone but Obama...well, and the followers . That there are so many problems with Executive branch agencies acting in some sort of autonomous manner is everyone's problem.

>>>And I thought that the Left's attacks on W were annoying...

Funny I just read something about how partisan bickering isn't any worse than it's ever been. Media...we carry it in our pockets...continuous updates...but only the stuff that makes us feel good.

LOL - yeah, very enjoyable.

--Just saw that movie the other day, ROFLMAO! Now THAT was funny! Back to the topic, there is so much unexplained funny business, there is simply not enough committees, not enough investigative news, and definitely not enough accountability to get to the bottom of pretty much anything that comes from the left these days. Of course, the same can be said about the right to some extent too. It's way past time for the government to return to its requirement to be accountable to its constituents and run above board.

I think pretty much all of America is concerned about the economy right now...liberal AND conservative, rich AND poor. But Obozo attempting to redirect conversation to the economy is meaningless and comical, as his prior efforts to revive it have all failed miserably.

Obama said, "there's not even a smidgion" so it MUST be true! Now that we know there are NO scandals, is Obama going to do something about the economy?

His approval rating has been dropping more or less steadily since last May.

"Uh...that's not discussion."

LOL! So then what is your definition of people talking? You are correct on one point though, it isn't 'meaningful' discussion, rather it is fodder to goad the sheep into watching their sensationalistic, yet baseless, 'journalism' for the sake of ratings.

Silly Sheep.

Yes, it is tedious. Both sides engage in this, however after 'W' weather the storm, the GOP seems to have ratcheted up the intensity as payback.

The self-serving vitriol is as bad as I have ever seen...

Well everyone does that. Remember Super Bowl Sunday, when Obama told O'reilly that there was "not even a smidgen of corruption" in the IRS? Technically - comically? - there was/still is an active ongoing DOJ investigation.

All this "your side does this" nonsense is tedious...you really think your side isn't doing the same?

Stewart, like most liberals, does everything he can to minimize the catastrophes that the Obozo administration is responsible for.

"IRS...NSA...DOJ...Benghazi"

Any one of those is significant, but liberals want to pretend that they're not.

Obozo does whatever he can to change the subject...he can't really change the topic to "working on the economy" effectively, because EVERYONE ALREADY KNOWS how he's handled that task, don't they?

Obozo just loves the Phil Robertson/Justin Bieber/Winter-cripples-the-East news stories because they all help to distract from his catastrophic policy outcomes.

If Obama doesn't talk about the economy, the right-wingers on Fox say he's doing it to distract from the economy. If Obama talks about the economy, the right-wingers on Fox say he's doing it to distract from the scandals (ya know, actual ones and the ones they make up and say are scandals).

The Right and Fox have already made up their minds - whatever Obama talks about they will say that he's doing it to distract from something else. It must be so comforting to live in a magical world where you can declare that someone else is wrong before you even know what they're going to say.
