Looks like they've dumped the girl on the Obamacare homepage.

Here she is. (err, before they dumped her)

Hope you have better luck addressing the healthcare site. Took me several attempts.

Obozo needs to start recognizing Oregon.

" Oregon laid out bold plans for complying with the federal overhaul.

The state wouldn’t just create a health insurance exchange, a complicated undertaking in its own right. Oregon officials set out to build one of the biggest and best in the nation — a model that other states would want to copy.
.
.
Cover Oregon officials bit off more than they could chew and clung to their ambitious vision even when their risk management consultants raised alarms.
.
.
More than $300 million has been spent on the exchange so far"

Hey...at least the ObozoCare site managed to enroll a few more than the BIG ZEEEERRRRRROOOOO that Oregon's site has.

See what an extra $300 million spent can accomplish? 27,000 is INFINITELY more than Oregon at just double the price!

Oh, the incompetency of liberals is just staggering, isn't it?

"California’s health exchange enrolled 35,364 in private health insurance in October, federal data show..."

Leading the way:

California, with 6.8 million uninsured and "5 million", I mean "645,000", who "visited the exchange online in the first day" and after a month only 35,000* or about 0.6% of CA's uninsured, actually enrolled.

(*12,246 when the revised figures are released next week),

"HHS reports 106,000 have picked health plans through ObamaCare exchanges"

Define success:

A 0.6% compared to a 0.22% share of a market with millions of potential customers who are federally mandated, to buy your federally subsidized product. - ROTFLMAO!!!

...and from RNorm: >"California’s health exchange enrolled 35,364 in private health insurance in October, federal data show.

The enrollment through Covered California, the state exchange, accounts for about a third of health insurance enrollment nationwide under the federal healthcare law and is more than double the number in any other state."<

And it probably thousands of times better than D.C.s whopping 5 enrollees or Delaware's 4 or INFINITELY greater than New York's ZEEEEEROOOOOO, although that data is over a week old...they probably have doubled to 10, 8 and zero since then!

California's doing well, but needs to do much better to help get the national total to the Obozo projections of 500,000 during the first month. But an Obozo projection has to be taken with a grain of salt...when has Obozo EVER been right about something?

And California OWES it to the nation to reach the Obozo projection. They elected and supported Pelosi, so it's only fair that they should subject themselves first to the torture that they forced on the rest of us.

So what does that have to do with the topic?

Are you just trying to pull whatever rabbit you can out of the hat to try to distract from the disaster known as ObozoCare?

Besides...whoop-dee-do about 100,000 calls. Lots of people have questions. How many of those actually enrolled? Wouldn't that be a better measure of success?

OK, I was wrong - just shows you cannot believe all you read and hear. Her name is Adriana, from Columbia and not a U.S. citizen, and these were HER words when recently interviewed on TV. The info I thought was correct was on the Judge Janine Show. So much for believing or having facts from the Media or News. And yes, she feels she is now the victim of cyber bullying.

She is speaking up too. Oops. I forget that most liberals poo-poo any reportage from Fox. To keep our liberal posters from going ballistic, I'll have to link with AOL or Yahoo or some other news source more agreeable to our liberal friends. Ah! Here's one...

KY celebrates 100,000 calls to kynect!

"Governor Steve Beshear on Friday celebrated a significant milestone at the kynect contact center, where agents have answered more than 100,000 calls from Kentuckians since the exchange launched on Oct. 1. Contact center agents help Kentuckians navigate the exchange and explain the health insurance options available to them.

"The kynect health benefit exchange is a leader in the country in terms of consumer experience and enrollment numbers. I'm especially pleased that the call center workers are local folks - this call center is truly an example of Kentuckians helping Kentuckians," said Gov. Beshear. "As we work toward our goal of ensuring all Kentuckians have access to affordable healthcare coverage, this facility plays a key role in helping citizens understand the process."

The contact center, a major component of the Affordable Care Act, is operated through a contract with Xerox. As a condition of the contract, kynect stipulated that the call center be operated in Kentucky.

The contact center began operation on Aug. 15, several weeks in advance of open enrollment. The center received its 100,000th call on Oct. 31.

More than 115 professional customer care representatives at Xerox's Lexington facility are available to answer questions about kynect and to help citizens navigate the online application process. The average call duration is 13 minutes 41 seconds, which includes both application processing and general calls."

That is (was) a picture of that Kathleen when she was a young girl. I read that somewhere. She wishes (and thinks) she is still a young chick. That conniving broad will surely age now. It should be removed after all this. Besides, if they are going to put a picture on, it needs to be a VARIETY of people, not just show a young girl. Show a group of people but don't single out one girl! That is sexist. Insurance for male and female. Blank figures or faces as it is now.

Hi buddies, I have no opinion on the ACA either way, but my scientific curiosity got the better of me, so I went to the healthcare.gov website which was up & able to accept applications at O408hrs CST.
At the top of the page was a banner notice: "Improving HealthCare.gov - The Health Insurance Marketplace online application isn't available from approximately 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. EST daily while we make improvements. Additional down times may be possible as we work to make things better. The rest of the site and the Marketplace call center remain available during these hours." which would explain the call center phone number notice on there earlier.
Anyhow, mates! Just thought you might want to know it's up again. Wishing all of you a great week.

Yes there is a problem with using the phone, it is an impossibility. The numbers are too big. It can only be accomplished by computer.

It is physically impossible for what? How many millions of people to call in and sign up over the enrollment period. You would need 100s of 1000s of agents manning the phones 24/7 and still not hit the deadlines.

btc1: "...Dump the website, go to state operated sites and enforce them to do it. Use the phone systems. Have the requirement met by June 30. That is it..."

Umm, the broken web portal is just a symptom of the pile of debris called ACA.

It is not workable nor repairable -- why? Because "liberals gone wild" wrote it, not Congress. It is mostly unproven concepts dependent upon a bazillion variables -- such has "hope 7 million healthy people sign up". There is no such think as a fine tuned Utopian Keynesian Redistribution model!

Congress doesn't even know whats broken, or what conflicts other parts -- they have no clue! They didn't write it, nor did they read any significant portion of it!

So they ask Sebelius -- she doesn't know

Dig deeper -- who wrote this portion? Umm Suzy Smith, she left and now works for a company in France.

Ok, who is in charge of this portion now? umm, we never replaced her, we don't even know where the documents are stored.

Folks, 20,000 pages of "I don't know" is all we are going to get out of the minions.

Fix it as we go they say? It's a monumental mess and it was written that way! Carve outs, special favors, quid pro quo everywhere!

Good luck raising the Titanic

With all the time and money these web developers were handsomely paid for this site, they should NOT receive one red cent to fix this problem. Not one more penny should be invested into getting this thing to work. There was an obvious lack of communication and testing. With all the hoopla (and anticipation) about this program, SOMEONE had to have known they would be inundated with responses. As the one lady said “…look at Amazon and eBay…” and the continual amount of traffic these two sites get. We do not know for sure, as it is seems to be human nature to ‘cover-up’ flaws and oversights “to the bosses,” but SOMEONE, if not several, KNEW this was not ready to go. They failed the American People; they disappointed many; they lost the confidence of many; they lost all integrity. We don’t know and will never know, but usually when a company makes a major re-development to a site, there are endless hours of continual testing, including security testing and daily reporting. And with this being a NEW site, it should have been tested, looked at numerous times to insure a pleasant, hassle-free introduction. Someone or several truly dropped the ball on this one. A car does not run on one part alone; it REQUIRES many parts to function.

True, one can utilize that phone number, but with millions of dollars spent on a web site, this money could have been so saved and have call centers established all over the country.

The developers, case managers, techs, whoever, should be totally ashamed and embarrassed of this horrendous debacle. The integrity of our government was at stake here, and sorry, but these clowns should be dismissed, terminated, starting with Kathleen. What good is an apology at this point, after one whole month? And if we all recall, this meeting on Wednesday was scheduled for last week, but SHE did NOT want to change her “travel plans” as it was more important for her to visit Call Centers. And we should believe she cares and is on top of things?

Lots of reasons why this is unacceptable. Mainly they spent what again? $670 million to build a website. Why bother with a web if you want people to use the phone?

Yes the phone is old fashioned. This is the 21st century and literally everything is done on the web today. Routine business like this is 100% conducted online. It is completely unacceptable to be forced onto the phone for a transaction like this.

This web could realistically have been built for at most $1million. But since we've spent $670 million on it, we should at the least be able to address the homepage. If they wanted us to use the phone, fine, don't spend $670 million and fund a call center instead.

Okay. I am going to admit this website is a true screw up.

HOWEVER! This does not mean the entire ACA needs to be dumped. NO. It will not be removed, the plan is to improve healthcare for EVERYONE.

I do agree he has over promised. It is with good intent. To get everyone healthcare coverage.

Dump the website, go to state operated sites and enforce them to do it. Use the phone systems. Have the requirement met by June 30. That is it.

What's more predictable than the failure of an Obozo scheme is liberals attempting to lay the blame on Republicans. I'm sure the liberals expected some miracles once their messiah got elected, but now that it's obvious that everything he touches turns to excrement, they're tugging at ANY possible way they can excuse their sorry idiot of a president and put the blame on the opposition.

It would have been a different story if Cruz & Co. had been successful. The liberals would be wailing how "Repuglicons" prevented the world's most glorious healthcare system from coming to fruition. But Obozo & Co. got their way and now we're seeing the disaster REALLY unfold!

btc, " Once the full effect of the mandate is imposed, and the taxes collected or younger citizens get the insurance, the cost is covered."

With the tax so low that it is far cheaper to pay the tax and then get the insurance when you really need it, the expected money will not come in.

Furthermore, EVERYTHING Obama said about Obamacare is a lie, he said everyone can keep their doctor and their health insurance plan it they liked them. He also said that families would see savings of $2500 a year. He also said that millions of people would be able to sign up on October 1.

None of those things are true, are they?

That's not how I read it, but then again you might be right because one of the left's favorite playbook pages describes how to redefine a word to mean something completely different than it used to in order to serve the cause.

Easy there, Mudtoe. I think that the liberal definition of "bipartisan" means both houses of congress, not the classic definition we utilized in our lives. They get this when they break down the word.

Bi; means both
part; means halves
isan; Latin word meaning "group to make socialism"

:::::Maybe, the site being down is being overblown by biased media. It worked for me at the time. I was accessing it in another window while on Gasbuddy.::::

Media bias has no bearing, overblown or otherwise. Verizon has publicly announced that their Healthcare.gov data center went down in all 50 states early Sunday and extending into the late afternoon. There was no possible way to sign on Sunday unless you used a Vulcan mind meld, voodoo, a witch doctor, an astrologist, a Ouija board, or you channeled Houdini's ghost.

ROFLMAO!!! Running away from your steaming pile of excrement are you? The steaming pile is 100% pure democrat excrement. There isn't even a single republican kernel of corn embedded in it, not one. It's all yours....
