Stop watching, especially the panel shows! Stop it!

“All these names you mention, they’re not going to change,” he went on, noting the caller’s reference to the network’s ostensibly liberal pundits. “And you’re exactly right, if all of this were happening with a Republican president — which it wouldn’t, it couldn’t by definition, we don’t believe in these policies — but if it were, you’re right. They’d be raising holy hell about it. They’d be calling the president cold-hearted, mean, extremist, exclusionary. The rich, they’d be all over a Republican president. But that isn’t gonna change.”

“So your blood pressure is going to suffer if you keep watching these people,” Limbaugh added. “They’re designed to get you ticked off. They’re designed to make you question your sanity. You’re gonna watch these people and say, ‘How in the world can we have such idiotic people?’ And you’re gonna thing maybe they’re not and you’re crazy. And I assure you, Tony, you’re not. Trust me on that.”

"No it cannot be true! Fox News always tells the truth! Sorry, but the truth hurts, right? Right? Fox Lies to you!"

Any word on when a retraction and apology will be issued by Fox?

Oh for all you Fox praisers, blind as you are.
Another Fox Lie.

"On July 17, Fox & Friends highlighted an analysis by NELP which found that median wages had declined since 2009, declining more for lower and mid-wage occupations. Co-host Brian Kilmeade introduced the segment by stating that NELP was "criticizing President Obama." Fox Business host Stuart Varney claimed the NELP analysis showed that Obama's policies are not helping:

VARNEY: It is clear that the president's policy of tax the rich and redistribute, regulate Wall Street, regulate the banks, regulate the health care system, regulate energy -- it has simply not worked. Key constituencies are worse off.
...

But the NELP analysis made no mention of President Obama or any of his policies. When reached for comment about Fox's portrayal of its analysis, National Employment Law Project executive director Christine Owens said:

The Fox News segment is a total distortion of NELP's study documenting the real wage declines faced by low-wage workers. In typical fashion, Fox News has put a shamelessly partisan and completely inaccurate spin on economic facts, and in so doing, obscures the actual reasons why workers' real wages have fallen. The real story is that the recent decline in real wages is part of a 30-year trend that we attribute to factors such as the declining real value of the minimum wage and the erosion of union representation in public and private workplaces. In fact, the Obama administration has pursued policies to reverse this trend. But you wouldn't know that from Fox News's warped version of reality.

As for Fox News dragging economist and NELP board member Jared Bernstein's name into this -- Jared had no more to do with our study than a board member of Fox News's parent company had to do with this misleading segment.

...

Indeed, the NELP press release announcing the analysis cited the declining value of the minimum wage and tax policies "that reward companies for shipping profits and jobs abroad" as among the reasons for the growing income inequality noted in the analysis. And President Obama has attempted to address these problems -- only to be stopped by Republicans in Congress, while Fox News personalities criticized the Obama administration for working on these issues."

No it cannot be true! Fox News always tells the truth! Sorry, but the truth hurts, right? Right? Fox Lies to you!

So what? So Limbaugh tells someone to stop watching something? Here, now btc1. I'm going to tell you to stop watching MSLSD. After all, it's making you angry, and it's misinforming you. Now do you feel any better?

"Rush is a Fox watcher and a very wise man!!"

I have to disagree - unless you are referring to his ability as a salesman.

calwdstk. no one took anything out of context. The entire article is there and so are Rush's words. I guess that was the only defense you could come up with though and still trash Liberals.

This more on taking what some one says out of context. Rush was referring to the individuals the made the caller upset. As in most cases the verbal abuse by most Liberals on many subjects.

"Read my full link. You will see what the subject was of the caller's concern."

Why would he care about reality? Fiction is far more fun - note how he took my comment out of context to make it seem more polarizing than the post really was.

"noseatbelt, Rush was specifically responding to a caller about some fantasy he had heard on a Fox panel show. So yes, that, is exactly what he was inferring."

Exactly.

"Rush has a point about one thing. No one likes seeing moderates on the television. Agreement and compromise is boring. They want fiery arguments and fireworks. News in general loves having fringe elements from both sides on their programs. It helps their ratings."

100% in agreement here.

Where in the world, doe anyone get that rush meant stop watching fox? That isn't what he meant, I know it, and deep down, I think you know it. It is simply amazing, how people that swear, they never listen to fox, or rush, seem to know every thing they said. Not just here, but any place that talks politics, you see people say, I never listen to rush, or fox, but then they turn around and quote word for word what was said by them.

That's your idea of a hard-left Alinskyite? You're serious? I can't even consider that seriously. Your perspective seems very distorted.

I disagree Panama it doesnt really help us when networks prop up the extremists from both sides. The people from the fringes hold a minority opinion and dont truly represent the views from the side they are trying to defend.

btc1, "Panama, does Fox have, 'hard left Alinskyites' on their panel discussions?"

Clearly they do according to the caller noted in your link; he was referring to Julie Roginsky

"Julie has served as a senior political strategist for Senator Frank Lautenberg and Congressmen Frank Pallone, Jr., Albio Sires and Steve Rothman, among others. She was previously the Capitol Hill communications director for Senator Jon Corzine.

She sits on the Board of the Women's Campaign School at Yale University, a non-partisan leadership program designed to increase the number of women in elected and appointed office around the globe. She is also a contributor at the Fox News Channel and was previously a contributor at CNBC, the financial news channel"

Fox has the widest political range of guests in its news presentations of any network in the news media.

People who avoid Fox do not see the full range of opinion in our country today.

Weaslespit, "Did Rush say to stop watching Fox? Sure he did"

No, he didn't.

When he said "these people" he was talking about the hard left Alinskyites, not the station they were on.

"As usual, the left is going with reports of reports and does not get the story straight."

As usual, those with an agenda miss what is right on front of them (from the original link);

"On his Tuesday show, Republican shock jock Rush Limbaugh walked back his criticism of Fox News, explaining that when he said “stop watching these people,” he really meant select people on the network. “I said stop listening to these people that make you mad,” he insisted. “What else am I gonna say?”

He added that he’s not afraid to criticize Fox News and called the network’s mustachioed reporter Geraldo Rivera “the grim reaper,” explaining his recent clash with the hosts of “Fox & Friends” was misinterpreted.

“Fox and I are on the same team,” Limbaugh insisted. “But these people in the media, they can’t stand it.”

Did Rush say to stop watching Fox? Sure he did. Did he mean it in the spirit that the Left is using to make him (or Fox) look bad? No.

RUSH: I Never Said Not To Watch Fox

When dealing with controversial subjects in our polarized society it helps to go to the source if you wish to understand the truth rather than taking the word of propagandists with ideological axes to grind.

I, the point I got our of this is someone who makes millions of dollars by being an antagonist for the right, actually exposing what the media, whether right or left, does to keep you watching. Yeah, the same thing will happen to those who listen without introspection to MSN or any of the cable ABC's of cable news. That is how they get ratings. Pandering to base of people's fears.

I do not like Rush and have never listened to him so no, I did not get this first hand, but, the source did quote him. But, I will tell you this, I got a smidgeon of respect for him, now...

I'm guessing you didn't get that straight from the horse's mouth, b.

Good advice for anyone - your TV or radio has at least two knobs, change the channel or turn it off if you don't like the program.

Me? People like Alec Baldwin and Jim Carey won't come into my home or car.
Use the knobs.
