California county administrator to get $423,644 a year -- after retirement

"Muranishi, an Alameda County administrator, makes $301,000 in annual base pay. But in addition to that, the San Francisco Chronicle reports she'll also receive:

$24,000 in “equity pay” to make sure she makes at least 10 percent more than anyone else in the county, even in retirement.
An annual performance bonus of $24,000, even in retirement.
Another $9,000 a year for serving on the county’s three-member Surplus Property Authority, even in retirement.
$54,000 a year in “longevity” pay for having stayed with the county for more than 30 years, even in retirement."

Baltimore's former mayor was convicted of stealing gift cards from the poor at Christmas, forced to resign and STILL gets her fat pension.

It's unethical at best, criminal at worst. Didn't they prosecute those leeches in the city of Bell, California that made out like bandits?

Isn't that just the dumbest thing ever? I served 27 years in the Air Force and my retirement percentage is about 68%. But that is only of my base pay and it is also based on high 3...which means they take the average of my monthly base salary over the last 3 years of service. Because they only give it based on my base pay it means that in reality I get about 50% of my monthly salary.

This lady is getting more than 100% of her base salary...ridiculous.

The only reason people get away with robbery like this is because the taxpayers let them.
