Michele Bachmann Turns Tail and Flees Interviewer

For Tuesday night’s “Keeping Them Honest” segment, CNN host Anderson Cooper turned to Dana Bash‘s encounter with Rep. Michele Bachmann who, asked about comments she made about President Obama enjoying a lavish lifestyle at the taxpayer’s expense, repeatedly dodged the questions and “literally raced away.” Bash was “speechless.”

“A new book is out talking about the perks and the excess of the $1.4-billion-a-year presidency that we’re paying for,” Bachmann said in the speech. “And this is a lifestyle that is one of excess.” She added:

“Now we find out that there are five chefs on Air Force One. There are two projectionists who operate the White House movie theater. They regularly sleep at the White House in order to be readily available in case the first family wants a really, really late show.”

Bash sought to confront her about those comments — which got four Pinocchios from theWashington Post — and found herself chasing after the congresswoman. “She literally raced away from our Dana Bash,” Cooper remarked.

--You know, I have little use for politicians of her ilk. I tend not to like politicians who mix politics and religion. I would be inclined NOT to vote for her, regardless of party. However, I would also want to know if her opponent was a wacky liberal, a moderate, or whatever? I do prefer moderate candidates, and she's not one of them. Again, haven't heard anything from or about Ellison. Has he actually done anything, other than get reelected?

"Benghazi is just one of many colossal failures that you libs are frantically trying to sweep under the rug n defense of your clueless president."

My president is doing virtually everything that I want him to do -- unlike that yahoo putz, George W. It is gratifying to see various conservatives soil their pants over this administration's performance. Please keep on whining, Righties, as it helps me go to sleep with a big smile on my face each night.

May the venerable Buddha smile upon you and yours.

"The liberal media are hypocritical cowards when it comes to the things that really make a difference for Americans."

*ROTFL*

Like you know what really makes a difference for Americans...

When you can explain how the $2 TRILLION (and counting) spent and 4,500 deaths in Iraq were beneficial to America and our present economy, then I'll think you know what makes a difference for Americans.

You might want to think that thru before you respond with your usual partisan tripe.

There are reasonable expectations that people will make that they're not foolishly putting their lives at risk. Going into a war zone, a soldier expects to be provided with reasonable armament and protection to afford him good chances of getting out alive.

Benghazi was a massive failure on the Obozo administration's part to provide ample security for those working in such a hotbed of terrorist activity. Benghazi is just one of many colossal failures that you libs are frantically trying to sweep under the rug in defense of your clueless president.

Good question. A better question might ask those Congressmen why they're pushing for more gun control when we have so many prime examples of what a failure gun control legislation has been in preventing gun-related deaths.

"Why don't we see Dana chasing Obozo down a hallway, demanding to know what went wrong in Benghazi where Americans actually DIED!!!!"

SIX people??? Why aren't reporters chasing down various members of Congress to demand answers to why THOUSANDS of US residents are dying every year from gunshot wounds? I don't give a Conservative's patoot about Benghazi. Like going into the US military, agreeing to go work in troubled parts of the world implicitly is an acceptance of the grave dangers involved. THOUSANDS of US military have died in Iraq and some continue to make a stink about SIX??? Sounds like totally screwed up values to me.

The real sad thing in this whole affair is the zeal in which the liberal media pursues items of little worth while at the same time avoiding any tough questioning of their idiot heroes. Why don't we see Dana chasing Obozo down a hallway, demanding to know what went wrong in Benghazi where Americans actually DIED!!!! Why not ask Obozo about his many failed stimulus plans, the SIX TRILLION DOLLARS he's already flushed down the toilet and why he's dumping half a billion on the murderous Palestinians while doing whatever he can to make Americans feel the Pain of Sequestration??? Why not ask Clueless Joe why gun control in Chicago is such an abysmal failure and why he wants to spread that failure to every corner of the nation? Why is nobody pressing Holder about the Fast & Furious Fiasco? How about that obviously forged birth certificate? How about using a Connecticut SSN?

The liberal media are hypocritical cowards when it comes to the things that really make a difference for Americans.

"Perhaps she was running to see about the upcoming ethics review she's under? LOL"

Should be a really short review; Bachmann never had any ethics.

norm, circling the wagons around a nut like bachmann. To use one of your favorite phrases, come on man, why is this any different, than the way liberals act when one of their nut cases act? biden, and belosi, just to name a couple. We have watched pelosi, nearly run more than once trying to dodge questions.

Speaking of which, and it's off topic, how is Keith Ellison doing? I haven't heard "diddly" from or about him since he was elected, and I presume re-elected?

Topic: Michele Bachmann Turns Tail and Flees Interviewer

--I regularly used to see Mayor Jane Byrne (D - Chicago) do the same thing. I have seen all manner of politicians do the same thing when confronted with their misbehavior or stupid statements. Here, now, talk about stupid statements, are you lefties going to defend Joe "gonna put y'all back in chains" Biden? Does Bachmann make some stupid statements, yes. Do I defend them? Heck no. Do I like far religious righties who mix religion and politics? Also, heck no. Do I appreciate folks who vote their REAL conscience? Yes.

That interview was hilarious.
The more Bachmann lied the faster she walked.

Another 10 seconds and she would have gone into the 100 yard dash mode.

Its funny how these conservatives defend Michelle, but change the subject every time when her nutty statements are disproven time and time again.

It seems some conservatives are more concerned with "circling the wagons" around a nut like Bachmann, rather than explaining why she runs away from her nutty statements.

I guess they need to think that thru a bit further?

Hmmm....Bachmann is pressed for the "hard questions" on dog walking, but liberals continue to "dog" the hard questions about the myriad assortment of Obozo's blatant failures. Bachmann makes a pretty good point about Benghazi and liberals' failures to demand answers out of Obozo on important issues, even when AMERICANS DIED because of those failures!

And Bachmann completely stopped to take time to present that issue to Bash, which is hardly "turning tail and fleeing", isn't it?

Actually, the previous administration had a higher White House budget than the current.

Of course, none of your liberal heroes ever do the same thing, when fox tries to interview them. Or why won't they do interviews on fox news when invited, are they afraid they might be asked some hard questions?

Tells lies to an adoring crowd, yet flees when faced with the truth. and some of your liberal heroes don't do the same thing? surely you jest. What about your liberal cowards? Heck, we have even watched obama, dodge questions many times, but I guess in liberal eyes that's different.

--I haven't found that to be the case. But let's turn this around for a second. Why doesn't MSLSD invite REAL conservatives on for a real discussion? Why won't Maddow or Matthews debate, say Hannity, or Larry Elder on the issues? And why is it that FOX regularly invites liberal politicians onto their shows, but they won't even return FOX's calls? I do have to say Fox News Sunday is pretty good, though I don't so much care for Chris Wallace. I wish Brett Hume was the moderator of that show. FNS does get much of the Dem leadership, but not some of the crazies lefties. I suppose that's because in real terms, they cannot defend their points of view against simple logic.

There is a reason Republicans rarely do interviews with non-Fox reporters. They have questions asked of them. They have stayed so close to Fox in recent years that they are completely unaccustomed to people questioning something they say that they have fully enveloped themselves in the conservative bubble where they believe the "lamestream" media is completely out to get them. This is the result of Fox coddling them for years and when someone questions them it completely shatters their bubble in which they can do no wrong.
