It's Hopkins' loss; I've heard Dr. Carson speak several times and the man speaks truth.

Maybe they should spend that much energy on workable solutions and compromises, rather than damage control and political one-upsmanship. Classy of Dr. Carson to offer the Bible verses on which his remarks at the Prayer Breakfast would be based. Bet the White House staffers went nuts, lol. Speaking of which, The Hill has an interesting tidbit about that speech: according to Carson, the White House asked to review it before he delivered it. Even though President Obama was speaking at the same event, that seems a bit odd, if not creepy. Carson’s reply: “I told them that I don’t have an advance copy because I don’t write out my speeches and I don’t use teleprompters …they asked more than once … I gave them the [Biblical] texts around which the remarks would be framed … I said read those texts, the remarks will be framed around those … that should have told them something.” The speech that rocked the world was more-or-less extemporaneous?"

Dr Carson is one person who could run as an INDEPENDENT and win the Presidency! To heck with the two major parties, they are both strangling this nation with their back-biting and bickering. Both parties would have to listen to him and work with him. It could be the game-changer this nation needs.

If he is at an age when he needs to retire from the extremely delicate surgery that he is famous for, he would make an excellent spokesman or candidate. In addition to uncommonly good common sense, he works for what is best for people...ALL people.

He goes on to say it has a "right wing" and a "left wing." He does a better job of describing it, but it has an important message. We need to remember this if the United States of America is going to survive.
