"You mean like they did with the first fiscal cliff?"
Exactly because Obama has no intentions of making any spending cuts. No matter how you look at it the Republicans had the interest in the country in their minds more than Obama or any Democrat because they were willing to let the country go over the fiscal cliff for the sake of not cutting any spending. Our country has a credit problem and Obama is a madman with the credit card just spending, spending, spending.

Time for some cuts WITHOUT more tax or spending increases, but did Boehner call it with "Obama doesn't have the guts to counter his base"?

Exactly! republicans rolled over, Obama got his tax increases, without any spending cuts. No guts to make the tough decisions.

The republicans have absolutely nothing to complain about. Obama stance on tax and spend has always been there, that has always been his past behavior, so why would they think that he would suddenly change now?
If the republicans have any cajones, and they want to do what would be best for the country, they would just let the automatic spending cuts occur, and even then, these spending "cuts" are just slowing down the increases to spending, not lowering anything.

The first step to getting spending controlled: "Hello, my name is Barack and I'm a spendaholic." "[Hello Barack]" "It's been three days since my last tax increase..."

The Democrats and President Obama seem to be a little short on the give part of negotiating. This time the Republicans are in the better seat. President Obama won and got his tax increases with no spending cuts. Now spending cuts with no tax increases are coming and he wasn't it stopped.

"Has Congress done anything yet?"
You mean like the Senate passing a budget?!!
It would seem that Obama-ites are so fascinated with Bush that they are trying to "out-Bush" him. Bush condoned torture; we condone murdering Americans with drones. Bush had deficits; Chump change! WE can REALLY rack them up. Bush started a recession; we can keep it going longer than ANY recession EVER!

And judging by the lack of defense by Dems/Libs here, rightfully so.
