Just putting things into proper perspective. Palin and family were undoubtedly attacked by the "Progressive" media and their lackies.

I'm sure Sarah didn't mind. Especially when she, her husband and children were subject to vitriolic and disparaging coverage from a Socialist puppet media.

Your appreciation of her apparently doesn't extend to actually knowing her name. It's Sarah, not "Sara." (Note: Herman Cain's name is not "Herb.")
Amazingly enough, former reality TV show star Palin used a teleprompter to read scripted criticisms of teleprompters, reality TV and scripted remarks.

MahopacJack, "Could it possibly be the reason the vitrolic left disparages Sara Palin is she's way too often caught telling the truth?"
Yes.
When the left cannot counter effective arguments they try to attack the character of the speaker.
Sarah's message resonates with the public, so she must be destroyed - along with her husband, daughters, and special needs son Trig.
It has been a scorched earth campaign against Sarah on the part of the left, which is an indication of the effectiveness of her message against them.

“We don’t have leadership coming out of Washington, we have reality television," Palin said. "Except it's really bad reality TV, and the American people tuned out a long time ago."
She should have continued: If you prefer good reality TV, please tune in to any of my family's upcoming shows--we'll show you what "quality" reality TV is all about.
Placing her in competition with the Kardashians instead of actual politicians is a very good idea.

Sarah knows about bad TV. That’s why FOX dumped her.
Sarah knows about being scripted. Her VP debate answers were scripted.
On these subjects, she's a pro.

Who better to say that than Sarah Palin? She is a big reason the public has tuned out politics for the most part. They thought they picked a lap dog they could put lipstick on and make a good presentation to Hillary voters and they got bit instead!

Sara Palin at CPAC.
“We don’t have leadership coming out of Washington, we have reality television," Palin said. "Except it's really bad reality TV, and the American people tuned out a long time ago."
"She then noted that some of the actions of politicians in the Republican party feel scripted. "Even our guys in the GOP too often have a habit of reading their stage directions, especially these days, they're being too scripted, too calculated," she figured. "

MahopacJack, "I find the reaction to Palin very strange. Most everyone on these boards agree that we are in terrible shape as a country. Yet, when a person arrives on the scene that not only recognizes the numerous problems confronting our nation but has done something POSITIVE about them, that person is demonized by many"
Actually, there is nothing strange or unusual about that.
Sarah Palin energized the GOP base and the Dems saw her as an existential threat to their rule, so they attacked her viciously and continually - along with her family - from the time she burst onto the scene.
The Dems were not constrained by truth or honor, and have no sense of shame - even going after Sarah's 14 year-old daughter and special needs infant Trig.
And the limp-wristed GOP establishment failed to defend her, and in fact many agreed with the Dems in an attempt to curry favor with them and their followers - and to attempt to deflect the Dems' attack machine against their own campaigns.
It is a pattern well used and proven effective by the Democrats on all that they see as a threat to their power.
Same old, same old.

From Sara Palin's wbesite, " In Alaska, her top priorities included fiscal restraint, limiting the size of government, resource development, education, equitable oil valuation as well as transportation and infrastructure development. Palin fought for ethics reform and transparency in government.
Palin has a long record of achievement and experience in public office. Prior to her election as Governor, Palin served two terms on the Wasilla City Council and two terms as the mayor of Wasilla. During her tenure, she reduced property tax levels while increasing services and made Wasilla a business-friendly environment, drawing in new industry.
Under her leadership as Governor, Alaska invested $5 billion in state savings, overhauled education funding and protected Alaska's natural resources. She created Alaska's Petroleum Systems Integrity Office to provide oversight and maintenance of oil and gas equipment, facilities and infrastructure and the Climate Change Subcabinet to prepare a climate change strategy for Alaska.
During Governor Palin's first year in office, three of her administration's major proposed pieces of legislation passed—an overhaul of the state's ethics laws, a competitive process to construct a natural gas pipeline and a restructuring of Alaska's oil valuation formula."

The right is not scared of Hillary. The right is scared of Hillary's popularity and high approval ratings by the majority of American citizens (Yeah, yeah, yeah, all the pols are wrong and all that jazz)
The left also has a hillary type word about Palin.
Hilarious. Wonderful grist for late night comics. Great entertainment, in a silly "I love Lucy" sort of way.
I even wrote a song called "Sarah Palin Just Shot Rudolph". The nieces and nephews just love it when I play it every Christmas.
Got news for you people on the right; NO ONE is scared of Sarah. She is an advertisement for what the hard right stands for And that keeps people aware of how disturbed those people are.
Centrists and leftists really LOVE Sarah because of that.

You got that right!
She's moving on to bigger and better things....we Tea Party conservatives have a lot of work to do to take back this country from the extreme-liberals who are taxing and spending us into the dark ages.
While the Middle East is imploding, and North Korea is threatening, and we don't even have a Federal Budget all the Democrats want to talk about is borrowing more trillions of dollars, sending women into the front-lines of combat, and "controlling" the guns in America.

Funny how so many people laugh at and criticize Sarah Palin, but none of them have actually done any better. Monday morning quarterbacking seems to be the only thing that the majority of Americans can do. They don't have jobs, they collect public benefits, and they criticize the people that work and provide tax revenues for them to feed off of.

gocatgo, >>"got more votes" but lost is hardly a bragging point. << *** There was no 'bragging' but the point was made that there are huge numbers of people who want dramatic change but the politicians (both parties) are unwilling to either recognize this or simply ignore that there are that many people fed (no pun intended) up with what has been going on.
Democrats should be concerned about individual rights being taken away by edict and Republicans should be concerned about the financial mess we find ourselves. BOTH give lip service to the problems but that is all. Instead we find the left wanting to curtail rights and the right dilly dallying on the deficit.
As far as Palin's reading list (or lack thereof) goes, it doesn't concern many. What matters is whether or not she could get the job done. Her executive record in Alaska was a heck of a lot better than McCain, Obama, and Biden combined.

maho, "got more votes" but lost is hardly a bragging point. Dems are certainly hoping cons stick with "political hacks" considering their record of losing elections. Pooor Sara couldn't answer a simple question about what she read. Is it any wonder her intelligence is questioned. Instead of cons not seeing that as a problem they attack the reporter.
Cons "less likely to watch Fox" may finally get to the truth. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.
One thing I can say about Sara is she looks good. Sadly all that fades when she opens her whiny mouth. Sara could best serve America sitting on her back porch watching Russia in case they try something. (;>)

BTW, that one voter was me. Had Palin not been McCain's running mate, I would have voted a third party candidate, most likely Bob Barr.
