I can see this MO law going absolutely nowhere. What is the point, except to shame the children of people exercising their legal second amendment right? And "possession of a firearm by someone under 18" - does that include a young boy going with his Dad, Uncle or Grandpa to the range to shoot a little .22? Bad idea.

""What if it's a paper gun? Did you see that one?""
What got me was the kid that got suspended for "gun Violence" for pointing his finger at another kid & going BANG

So... How would this prevent school shootings again?
The only idea I have seen worse than this one is where gun owners would be required to get liability insurance for their guns.

If you took the word "Reich" out of that paragraph people would think it came from the Department of Education. mudtoe

Hitler said on 1 May 1937:
"The youth of today is ever the people of tomorrow. For this reason we have set before ourselves the task of inoculating our youth with the spirit of this community of the people at a very early age, at an age when human beings are still unperverted and therefore unspoiled. *** This Reich stands, and it is building itself up for the future, upon its youth. And this new Reich will give its youth to no one, but will itself take youth and give to youth its own education and its own upbringing."

Paranoid hysteria reigns on the left just as much as the right.

Anyone else notice that the schools are intruding into more and more of the child's and the child's family life outside school? This is just another, although much more egregious, example. You often read about students being suspended for behavior off of school grounds and not associated with school activities, areas which should be the exclusive domain of the parents, not the schools. The goal here is to place the state in charge of the child's upbringing (and indoctrination), supplanting the parents. It's a tried a true method employed by totalitarian regimes around the world. mudtoe

and the libs always scream about conservatives using scare tactics? what the sam hill? talk about a scare tactic - to make it a ciminal offense to not register, with a school, that a homeowner has a gun? I agree with you flyboy, it's none of the school district's business, nor is it any business of nadal's.
