There are many workers in this country legally who have work permits, but not green cards. I'm more concerned with this, which is being supported with MY tax dollars.

If they are here illegally they cannot work here legally.
If they are here legally they will have the documentation to prove it.
I misread the poster initially and assumed that it was speaking to illegal immigrants as well. On closer reading, it was not.

If you have a legal right to work in the United States, there are laws to protect you against discrimination in the workplace.
