sissurf, there is someone or group behind it; the media. If it bleeds, it leads! Every dark thing that happens gets plastered on every channel for days, weeks and months.

Funny you mention that once again like obama keeps on blaming President Bush's fault again that when President Bush did it they WERE TRACKING the weapons and made hundreds of arrests from the drug cartels, oBlame-o DID NOT track the weapons and did it just to have an underlying tactic of getting guns there to cause a problem for OUR SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS and HUNDREDS of mexican people lost their lives.

"Yes, but you're missing the point." I'm not missing the point at all, since I was the one making the point. Guns were going into Mexico long before Operation Fast and Furious (which predecessor began in 2006 as Operation Wide Receiver). Nary a word is heard about the guns that were allowed into the hands of suspected gun traffickers under that program, though. So there were incidents at the time, in fact 9 people were indicted, but nobody talks about that. Must be because it was Bush's program.

In working fairly closely with law enforcement, one of the typical comments I hear at these 'buy back projects' is - "it's too bad only the honest citizens bring in guns that they should keep for protection, where are all the criminals and we'll never see a criminal bring in his gun" - but then, perhaps the real agenda of the 'buy back' was never meant to get guns out of the hand of criminals, but we all know that.

"Yes, but you're missing the point. The government knowingly and willingly allowed known criminals to buy the guns, knowing that they would go to Mexico".
He doesn't care, to him the only answer is to ban guns. That is it. The concept of enforcing laws we already have and doing reasonable things like not giving weapons to criminals need not apply. He just wants to attack law abiding people and lawful business that don't agree with his political views.

You know I'm starting to feel there are way to many copy cats of school shootings, movie shootings, and what have you all of a sudden. So once again, I'm wondering if some how, some way, someone or some group is behind all of this.

Marty you mentioned, "Maybe we should. The guns in Mexico originated here, after all."
Yes, but you're missing the point. The government knowingly and willingly allowed known criminals to buy the guns, knowing that they would go to Mexico. The government wanted supposedly to track the guns to the drug cartels, but oh ye! They forgot to put trackers in the guns, so they were unable to track them.
This was all done because obama wanted a 2nd Amendment fight, but had no incidents at the time. So they needed to create one.

They WON'T offer a buy back from mexico that would probably offend the mexicans and everyone knows we wouldn't want that...
