worryfree, "Geez...somebody has to feed the hungry hordes caused by the Bush recession..."
Wow, STILL blaming Bush????
When, if ever does Obama get responsibility for his actions and policies? Or will he be known as The Irresponsible President?
Didn't he say, about 4.5 years ago that it is "irresponsible" to raise the US debt by $4 trillion in 8 years????

It should not be a shock to anyone who voted for Obama that's what his record shows he is good at. He wants everyone to live off the gov't. We can't continue this way.

nose, "I believe the same "off the wall regulations" were in place during the Clinton years which was one of the best economies in some years. The cost of Obamacare to date is negligible at best so that excuse does not fly. The corporations of America may be cutting pay and benefits for workers but top management pay is higher than ever before in history. "Who can blame them", it is obvious you will never run short of excuses for deadbeat job creators until your pay and benefits are in jeopardy.
Black, there is no excuse for hiring illegal aliens, the deadbeat job creator status is valid. The "environment" should not be tax giveaways to corporations making record profits either. W Bush could have changed anything Clinton did but did not. Throwing minorities out of their homes is not much of a problem correction.
YDraig, ouch!
101, "our local food banks shelves are empty", which in the minds of cons is the perfect time to end or severely cutback food stamps to the needy.

I guess we should let the people starve. The ones unemployed by bad banking decisions mAde long before Obama was even heard of.
When Clinton signed the Republican sponsored bill to take the restrictions off, we had a new reality show; Banks Gone Wild. For eight years, they kept pushing the envelope, increasing the risks taken. We were all told to go out and spend money to show the terrorists they had not won. Day after day, year after year, Americans were fed the propaganda about how this would just keep getting better and better. Buy a house, even if you can't afford it.
But it was all just a bubble to expand the coffers of the wealthiest people. And when, like all bubbles, it broke, they went looking for someone to blame.
And America handed them patsy #1 in the form of George W Bush, and Patsy #2 in the form of Barrack Obama.
And America, having such a large population of uneducated, ignorant people, seem to be buying the Kool Ade.
Thus, we gey posts like this.
The last forty years did not exist. God created America in 2008, and Obama promptly broke it.
No wonder we are in such an economic mess. The only thing some people can invent are ridiculous lies, and the only thing they can build are phoney cases to support the lies.
Yes, you people DID build THAT!

gocatgo - <<<"The Obama administration has failed to restore the economy" but he has had more than his share of help from the deadbeat job creators and con elected officials hoping for failure.>>>
You obviously do not understand the economy. There are no "deadbeat job creators" who are supposed to create jobs. Jobs are created when businesses need more help which is the result of an expanding economy. And you cannot blame elected officials; it is not what they are elected to do regardless of ideology.
What national elected officials can do is to set up an environment where the economy can expand. That is because the Constitution gives Congress the power “To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, ….” The economy expands when the money supply expands; it contracts when the money supply contracts and the value changes relative to the number of people who need and use the money.
The Clinton administration allowed illegal banking activity to happen which caused the economy to expand making Clinton look good. So Congress passed a bill to make the illegal activity legal in hopes of preventing a collapse. Dubya was a victim of this; he looked alright during his first four years and got reelected. But during his second term the shaky mortgages started being foreclosed and that resulted in the decrease of the money supply resulting in the recession.
The Democrat response was to prevent anything from happening to correct this because this would cause them to be perceived as causing minorities to lose their home. So nothing has been done. The result is a lot of minority owned homes being lost due to foreclosures and Democrats are blaming others.
Obama has to sign whatever it is that will correct the problem. But he won’t because he would then be perceived as causing minorities to lose their homes. So a lot more minority-owned homes will be lost to foreclosure during the next four years.
That’s what you voted for: minorities being stabbed in the back.

In a year or two government will start considering working 25-29 hours as full time in order to sugar coat the true unemployment statistics, and hide the effects of Obamacare. mudtoe

Dead beats? Who can blame them, they have no idea what to expect from another four years of the most anti business president we ever had. How many more off the wall regulations will be loaded on their back, what will their taxes be, what will obamacare cost them, what will the obama backed epa do to them. it's surprising un employment isn't a lot worse then it is.

cbuck, if you think those were "good times" when Obama took office - 2/3 of the way through the worst recession in 70 years and losing over 700,000 jobs per month - you must be totally peeved that the economy has actually been growing these last 3 years.

mud, "so your solution is to raise taxes ....", yes partly. It is real clear the tax cut has mostly improved the wealth of the wealthiest, Big deal. There are no provisions for tax cuts being used for overseas investment or being put in off shore accounts. We need across the board even cuts with no golden cows. There sir lies the problem among our cow worshiping elected officials.
Black, to be clear, a "deadbeat job creator" uses his tax cut to hire illegals, overseas workers, hides his money in off shore banks or just hopes Obama will go away while doing nothing to promote jobs. "The Obama administration has failed to restore the economy" but he has had more than his share of help from the deadbeat job creators and con elected officials hoping for failure.
cbuck, "we let the good times roll away" and the wealthy had a good time.
If tax cuts mainly to the wealthy is the answer why are we in a recession? The only people that need a tax cut are the people that buy the most products and services, the middle class.

"Obama gets some of the blame but the real blame goes to the deadbeat job creators enjoying the Bush/Obama tax cut."
Jobs are difficult to create in a sour economy regardless of whether the creators are deadbeat or not.
The number one priority for this nation for the last four years is getting the economy to get going again.
The Obama administration has failed to restore the economy while at the same time causing the value of the dollar to decline making everything more expensive.
In the future these economic times should be referred to as the "Obama Depression."

gocat: "...but the real blame goes to the deadbeat job creators enjoying the Bush/Obama tax cut." So your solutions is to raise taxes, add regulations, and generally make it harder and harder for a business to turn a profit, until they start hiring? In other words, the beatings will continue until morale improves.... ROFLMAO!! Good luck with that! mudtoe

Not only a record number of people on food stamps, but 16% of Americans in poverty!
Yet the media rarely brings this up.

The only cure, if there even is one, is for the day of reckoning to come when government can't write those benefit checks. As long as there are no consequences to spending what we don't have, it will continue until there are consequences so bad that it's physically impossible to continue doing so. This past election proved that the takers are now the majority and they will never stop voting themselves freebies as long as the gravy train lasts. mudtoe

I read that and it's sad to know that our current administration can cavort all over the world at American taxpayer expense without feeling the pinch, while many Americans look to the government to eat, much less do something extra every day!
